It’s a sad day
During Covid they posted “Masks Required “ but inside quite a few people didn’t wear masks. When I complained to the manager he said he was going to confront anyone who refused the requirement. But he confronted me for complaining about the stores anti American position. God bless America.

WARNING: Do NOT use Home Depot for window installation
I used Home Depot's install services to replace a window in my home. The job was completed very sloppily, and even with the contractor coming back out to address the issues, here is the finished product. Home Depot did not appropriately or adequately address this issue when I asked for a partial refund to cover the cost of having someone else come out to finish the job. I understand that Home Depot does not always have control over the work their contractors do, but I am severely disappointed by the way they handled this.

Always overworked, unfriendly employees
I go into this home depot #4714 tonight to buy a toilet seat. I get ignored when I request help from one employee working on a computer at a nearby station. 2 walk passed me in the main interior aisle & make eye contact as I ask for help & keep going. This isn't even the 'problem'. I find the toilet seats, I make my selection, I go to the checkout line. 1-4 are in use, I notice the lady at 5 is printing her receipt. I go to 5. My scan gun on the upc of the box fails once. Then twice. Then I'm grabbed by my wrist, the gun is taken from me by the employee at the checkout stand & he physically moves me back. I am just stunned... He cannot get it to scan either. I am just standing there, he's not really talking. Then he has to enter the upc manually, then I get to be chewed out for not using 1-4 because he was closing this side. This is prompted by me saying if we're going to be this 'involved' & physical in a checkout why not just open a lane & check people out. My turn to make the payment for the $46.81 toilet seat. The chip error's once from insertion... This immediately prompts the man to take the credit card from me, bending it in the process, jamming it home to fail the chip error twice & then succeed on the thrice attempt. He hands it back to me & is seemingly astonished that I'm appalled.
I'm so serious here I grew up in an Earnhardt/Stewart fandom family. I've been shopping at home depot forever, sure I've had bad experiences before in my life. I'm 32 years old.
Never have I ever.
Ever.
Ever.
Been literally grabbed, moved away by an employee, had their back to me, nearly refuse to talk, then take my payment method from me, then choose to begin chewing me out, all while I'm just staring shocked & being told off essentially for not going into the line from 1-4 & how should I have known any of them closing one side etc... Ok then he bends my credit card, hands it back to me, & looks ASTONISHED that I'm upset & demanding he return the toilet seat after that interaction.
My receipt says 'Kyle'.
I don't know if that's who it was, but this receipt for this toilet seat that gets returned. Pull the video. Watch the man grab me by the wrist & move me away when the scan gun fails. Watch him take the payment method away, it's bent you can literally see the photo attached.
Absolutely never have I ever in my entire life. Been treated anything like that by a 'customer service employee. I cannot believe that is remotely legal what happened tonight. Look into this event. I am literally from a tony stewart fandom family & am probably never going to return to home depot for the rest of my life because of this singular event. Good day.

The manager Hope is amazing
Hope helped some with when I was in the store to buy a Lawn Tractor. She not only helped me but was able to multi task and help other customers and employees as well all why giving me an above and beyond experience. Most the time when an employee ask me if I need help I just tell theme no because they usually end up wasting my time and and have no clue what I'm looking for or know much about the products that they sale. Hope was having to tell other employees what else things where on and where to find them. She was also checking out other customers and filling orders why I was on the phone with their customer support helping with with the credit app. It was suck a relief to see someone that knew what they were doing and good at their job. It’s such a rare thing these days.

Curb side pick up
Remodeling a kitchen. Almost everything for the remodel comes from this store. Large Items are ordered for curb side pickup. Not happy about having to wait close to an hour for the pick up. Curb side was completely disorganized with people who arrived after I did getting theirs order first. Make sure there are people to bring and help load the pick up once you get to the store.

Excellent place to shop
99 percent of the time they have exactly what I need . When they don't have it no one seems to . I would recommend them to anyone doing home projects. Their employees are great at pointing out location of products and giving alternative ideas on how to get a job done.

Home Depot on Sprague in Spokane Wa
Everyone at Home Depot is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I am in your Sprague store 6 days a week. My wife and I have rentals (apartment buildings and single family houses). The projects never end. Everyone is super helpful and I know most employees on a first name basis and they know me the old guy. They know me at the Pro Desk and your crew there helps me a lot.

Still the same store
Went for bulk wire. Found several rolls on the moving display but none of them had long enough on the spool. Found suitable substitute for two of the color choices. Needed green tape to mark a white wire as ground. No tape available unless you buy a six pack of mixed color. The associate was helpful and kind.

Employees not knowledgeable about their products, and gave incorrect instruction.
I purchased 7 of the same item at a cost of $500 and not one of 5 employees I spoke with gave me correct info about the item.

Thanks!
The Home Depot is my one stop shop for a variety of projects that I had to get done on a tight timeline. Fair prices, and efficient loading and unloading.

Price Matching Policy Online Not Accurate
Enjoy shopping at Home Depot with the exception of their price matching policy. Want to buy a dishwasher and the price difference between Home Depot and their competitor was $100. Home Depot would not price match because the model number was slightly different (e.g. SHE3HGV versus SHE4HGV). However the photos and equipment specifications were identical. Shame on the Home Depot price matching policy. How disappointing.

My go to store
The store is fine. The parking lot is crowded and too small when busy. Traffic in the area makes it a chore to leave. The folks there are as helpful as they can be.

Great features
I'm very happy with everything I buy at home depot but some stuff I'm surprised they don't cary. Like no rv parts electrical connects etc. and no parts too lock doors and cupboards up from Little ones.

Appliance Purchase and Install
Most of my home depot purchases (and even returns) have been a good experience. Online and in store. However, purchasing appliances was a deceptive nightmare. After obtaining a quote for a full appliance package and install from a competitor I brought the quote in to compare to what HD had to offer. My first associate was obviously burnt out from the holiday weekend sale, they rolled their eyes at me, were dismissive, and rude. I shared with them the competitors quote and install pricing and asked for an apples to apples comparison with at least similar models in the same GE brand I had quoted. Half way through the process the first rep went on break and a much more friendly associate took over. I pointed out that the biggest price difference was in regards to install costs and I was assured that HD's install was all inclusive. I mean these are the same people who once advertised install of a whole house carpet for $99, right? I trusted them.
My order was delayed when I pointed out that they had ordered a full size microwave rather than a low profile one. When the installers came they told me that I should have done more prep work and they would not be able to install/replace any of my appliances. I already had an estimating DW, fridge, and gas range. The only new addition to the kitchen was swapping out a hood vent for a microwave.
I contacted HD directly and was shamed by Debbie and Billy for not being more prepared for my installation and making sure the proper fittings were available for the installers. I explained to them that I had shared my quotes with my sales rep and even pointed out the cost difference for install and was told that HD's install pricing was inclusive of any needed fittings. Again, I was shamed being told that surely I must have been more educated by their staff who ALWAYS reviews an install ready checklist with consumers before purchase and I must have been made aware of what needed to be done to my existing home.
Embarrassed by Billy and Debbie's comments I drove back to HD and went to the appliance department. I asked the appliance associate for a copy of their checklist that Billy and Debbie mentioned to educate consumers on being ready for install. The associate didn't have one or know what I was even talking about and called for Billy. Billy confessed that consumers don't receive the checklist ahead of time but only AFTER they have made their purchase and as part of their receipt. This seems odd to me. Should a consumer know these details BEFORE they pay for appliances and install? Again, shamed by Billy I went back home and looked at my paperwork from the time of purchase and did not see any checklist that I had received.
I do know that the competitors quote was more accurate and didn't claim to be all inclusive when it wasn't. I know HDs associates are not all equipped with the checklist. I know my kitchen already had similar appliances and the fact that this became such a big deal is surprising.

Best big box store experience ever.
Natalie was amazing. We came to Home Depot to buy door paint and left with four major appliances.... Mainly because she took the time to really explain things and find us additional discounts. She was very knowledgeable and we never once felt pressured or rushed..

No checkers now
I usually have an odd item and always go through check out with live person for accuracy. Now Home Depot appears to have "discontinued checkers." Because of this alone, I now avoid Home Depot if at all possible. Too bad..........

Parking
Parking for handicap persons is absolutely the worst, slots are narrow and when reversing the aisle of cars hardly leave room to backup and other drivers think it's a great place to exhibit all the horse power by speeding thru the parking lot
