When you're starting to dive into a major DIY project, you might not have the specialty tools you need in a workshop. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Edmond Tool Rental Center.
Tool Rental
Our tool and equipment rental choices enlarge your toolbox with the exact tools you require to complete the job. It's not practical to buy a specific tool when you're not using it often. When you're thinking about getting a new tool, do a trial run first before you decide which one to get. Whatever your situation, we have the tools you're looking for.
Rent Floor Sanders, Post Hole Diggers, Shop Vacs, and More
Tackle serious projects with serious power tool rentals. Take your scuffed wooden floor to the next level with a floor sander rental and a wet/dry vacuum rental to get the floors smooth and ready for refinishing. Construct a new fence around your home faster and more efficiently with a post hole digger rental, then utilize other concrete tools to securely set your fence posts.
Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Ladders
Take advantage of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get professional coverage fast and make surfaces look new again. Rent scaffolding and ladders to reach high surfaces when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry step ladders and extension ladders for small to medium jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're feeling motivated to check that job off the to-do list.
Truck Rental
To meet your transport needs, we keep pickup trucks as well as box trucks on hand — with availability varying by store. We also offer Penske moving trucks ranging from 12-foot to 26-foot lengths at certain stores. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for storage, packing, and DIY projects, it's easy to make us your go-to source for transport and moving as well.
Large Equipment Rentals
Complete expansive projects with the right pro equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the boom lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and mini skid steers for hauling materials, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.
Although we're calling out specific tool, truck, and large equipment rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular item in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.
How do I rent tools, trucks, or large equipment?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see which tools or trucks you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You might also read our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your store. For more details on renting large equipment or tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent large equipment or a tool by the hour?
Tool rentals and large equipment rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and long-term projects can also be accommodated. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you must return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the provided documentation before selecting a truck.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. When you don't refill the truck, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent large equipment or a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.
How do I receive my large equipment rental?
Depending on your location, you can get large equipment dropped off and picked up from your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's at your home or out in the field. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented large equipment. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.
How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on my large equipment rentals?
Treat your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra time you require.
