All the employees were very helpful and knowledgeable about their area of expertise. Several employees actually approached me as I walked through the store, instead of me having to hunt someone down! I was very impressed and had a pleasant experience.

The store was very clean and it was very easy to find the product. The associates at the check outs were very helpful. Especially the cashier named VEE hepl me to find my product and help me check out and she was very generous.

Working with Bart was probably one of the best experiences I have ever had at Home Depot. He was knowledgeable but not pushy and kept telling me that if the product did not work, bring it back. While I was working with Bart another customer came up to him and gave him a big hug. After the service I received it did not surprise me. I am sure he has a fan club.

There were plenty employees for fast help. They are knowledgeable and because I'm an older woman they didn't treat me as if I were stupid. They were friendly and courteous.

Today I was carrying a 50 lb. bag of salt to the self serve registers. An employee saw my arms full and came over and scanned the item for me and proceed to the check out / payment process.

The Elk Grove Village, IL Home Depot is clean, well laid out and well stocked. Every time I go in there the employees are friendly and will greet you and ask if you need any help. When I have needed help, the employee in that department was knowledgeable about that department (example: If I needed help in the plumbing department, the employee not only knew about the items in the department, but about the proper procedures for plumbing repair). Other home improvement stores don't seem to hire people with trade knowledge and only seem interested in selling stock, not helping the customer with the use of the stock items. I prefer Home Depot over the other home improvement stores.

Beware! There’s a Bunch of friendly people working

I may have an issue with the on-line receipt technology. The way it comes up would take 4 pages to print.....and trying modify is extremely time consuming. I am using Vivaldi as a browser.......I thought the convenience of an on-line receipt was a big plus, but at this point it is totally useless for me and I believe there is a remedy..... Regards,

Atrocious customer service after purchase of major appliance. Unit was delivered with damage that was hidden until prepping for installation. Foam shipping blocks needed to be removed as well as access panel for connections to electric, water supply and drain in order to see the damage. This was not done before delivery driver left as delivery driver would not wait for me to prep for install. I immediately called the store and was told (and I quote) "you need to inspect for ALL damage, even damage you can't see before the delivery service leaves" and "we can't take it back just because you have buyer's remorse." Now this is on me to contact the manufacturer and wait for their response and remedy. Lesson learned about buying anything other than light bulbs from home depot. I fully expect that this review will not be posted.

I have a choice between a bigger, newer Home Depotnrar me but I and my handyman choose Elk Grove.

I paid 55.00 for inside delivery, but the delivery confirmation stated outside delivery only. the delivery man was by himself and I had to help bring a 50 lb. box into my home. The delivery person was very helpful and I appreciated him help. I'm 73 years old and I thought paying for a service, I should receive that service. I got no satisfaction from Home Depot's customer's affair people.
