I ordered exterior shades to help keep the sun off my back porch so I can sit out there. I ordered them online to be picked up in the store in Fairfield, Al. I waited an hour and a half and had not received a text msg nor email that they were ready to be picked up. Since the web site indicated they were in the store and I had paid for them online I decided to go to the store and pick them up. When I arrived my order was not ready. I asked if they could get someone to pull my order and that is when they realized that none of what I ordered was there in the store. The associates looked all around the store trying to see if they had some in stock but they only had the shades in white and I had ordered a bamboo color. One of the associates asked if I wanted them to check online and see if another store had the kind I wanted. I said yes because I needed them the next day, Sunday. She check online and Hoover was showing that they had 4 in stock. She said that she was going to call Hoover and have them verify the shades were in stock and if so they would hold them for me. Well, it took Hoover about 30 minutes before anyone would come to the phone and check to verify if the mdse was really in stock. After verifying the mdse was in the Hoover store I was given a discount on the mdse and headed out for Hoover. All the associates in Fairfield apologized for the inconvenience I was put thru but I was tired and disappointed that I had lost 2 hours of my time just because Home Depot's "order online/pick up in store system" needs some tweaking. I like Home Depot and this was the first time I had been disappointed with a shopping experience at Home Depot but it was a "biggie" which took too much of my time and gasoline for I live in the western area and had to drive all the way to Hoover "at night".

Associate directed me straight to the product I needed. The cashier was standing in front of her register aisle notifying that her lane was open. Very friendly! Great experience.

THE WORKER IN THE STORE WAS VERY HELPFUL. WHEN I NEEDED HELP THEY WERE ALWAYS AVAILABLE.

I get to go on the weekends when they are the most busy - that being said the associates are willing to help when they are not helping others. I was shown where the stuff I needed was and told how to get what they did not have in stock (web site). I have always done well at this store because of price and overall good attitude of employees.

I use this particular store on a weekly basis. The only issue that I would like to see improved is for floor employees (usually the younger employees) to actually walk to the area that is requested for help. For instance; recently when I asked where a specific item would be located the employee pointed in the general direction while stating that the item might be located in that area. I had already exhausted all the available resources when I decided to ask for assistance. Had he walked with me to the area and assist me with finding the item it would have made my shopping experience a lot more enjoyable. However, most of the store mgrs have always been remarkable and accommodating anytime I've asked for assistance. P.S. I really like the featured items that can be purchased at a reasonable amt of money.

The Fairfield location has made tremendous improvement over years past. The store is well maintained with pleasant employees, well lighted clean isles. I will shop there 1st before other choices in the area, Your associates were "Caught in the act of doing it right! Good Job Home Depot!

associates were standing around talking and not interested in helping anyone. My wife and I stood in front of the Milwaulkee display for 10 to 15 minutes with a display sound going off every two to three minutes and no one ever came over to offer any assistance. Finally went and found associate and she said she was getting off and could not help me.

my Experience was very nice, the sale paper was very helpful. The flower was on sale, great price. The charcoal was also on sale GREAT price. also the potting mix was on sale, i had pick up the wrong potting mix, but the cashier celester offer to get the correct one for me. I really appreicate the kindness she gave me. I love shopping at Home Depot, they have great sale.

After ,first, shopping on line, the service desk for online orders gave me my order in less than 5 minutes.

Everyone has always being very helpful to us. Very nice & smiles threw out the store.
