Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, and CFLs for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used for composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
Since 2010, we have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers. This commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment and our local communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

Is it good to have a generator at home?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for any circumstances life throws at you. Whether dealing with thunderstorms, blizzards or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power when the elements take it out. When searching generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows.
Why should I repair my roof before spring severe weather arrives?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperature swings by replacing any broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in any crevices, you could have problems. On the outside of your home, examine shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that could let water leak into your home. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams if you're prone to frozen precip as the seasons change. Check brickwork and cinder blocks for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. Lastly, replace chimney caps and vinyl siding if damaged.
Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?
Enjoy safety, privacy, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference and worry less with more control.
