I attempted to return some items from a very large commercial job completion and asked for a gift card . I have made several successful returns in the past 2-3 weeks after a 5 year long job but was denied for some reason today . Rafael laughed after I had made a comment that now I have to reload all the returns back in my truck . He said Awe you have to put it all back in your truck and laughed . Very Poor Customer Service by RAFAEL and would not recommend his lack of customer service skills and lack thereof. I’ve shopped here for 25 years and never had an idiot like this speak to me like he did Terrible Rep

Couldn’t find the “in stock” item and no one really cared if I found it. Wasted trip

I know that a common criticism of Home Depot is difficulty finding help at times, and I have experienced this as well. However, the website makes it extremely easy to research the products ahead of time and even note the exact location of items in the store. The customer service staff are very friendly and efficient with returns or resolving misc. issues. Prices are lower than pretty much anywhere (incl. buying online once you add shipping.)

I will be shopping at the local harware store in the future since Home Depot doesn’t bother to sort its specialy fasteners.

I bought a new refrigerator last week and unfortunately it did not fit properly, I called the store and spoke with Gloria Gladnick the appliance sales person and she arranged to have it picked up the next Monday. I went in later that day and purchased another refrigerator that could be delivered on Wednesday so Gloria then arranged to have them pick up the other fridge on Wednesday as well so that I would not have to be without a refrigerator any longer then was necessary . I believe she went above and beyond to help me out and would ask for her again in the future. Last year she also sold me a microwave that I am very happy with

I have had to shop at this store for the last 10 or 11 years. I had a horrendous experience for the first 6 years or so. It got so bad that I stopped shopping here and would drive to Oxnard or Lompoc to pick up the things that I needed that I could not easily obtain at the local lumber stores. I had delivery issues, stocking issues, customer service issues (had an employee get in my face physically), and a general lack of interest from the store or HD. That said, the last four or five years have seen vast improvements in all the deficits noted. It still is not perfect but this store performs on a par with the other HD stores I frequent. Helpful customer service is still hit or miss; however, the customer service is average and therefore greatly improved from previous years. I no longer despise going to this HD and for that I am grateful! Thank you Goleta HD for improving your store!

In the past, getting help or advice would be almost non existent. This visit (4/10/25) was a real pleasant surprise. The employees were VERY helpful in finding what we needed, and even offered some advice. It was great!

You've got to get a better way to install & setup kitchen appliances. Your delivery people on drop off and take away old. Next time I'll go to an appliance store.

The app doesn't have the aisle, you ask, they send you to the wrong aisle you finally find the person in the area and they know their stuff. Wish they had better trained people or better technology

If you buy online, such as yard lights and they’re defective because they were not packed properly, the store refuses returns.

The staff was very helpful in the purchase and they loaded in the truck for us. Good price and very knowledgeable about their products.

Had a single item on my Home Depot list. Initially reluctant to make the drive for just one item but needed fire wood for the cold temps. Went into the Goleta Home Depot’s Nursery area and got my wood. Had excellent customer greeting by staff. Checkout was quick and easy. Cashier was cheerful and pleasant. In and out — BAM! Done.

They've come a long way! Love the hours (open til 10pm is fantastic - especially in Santa Barbara/Goleta). As a female shopper in a big "hardware" store like this, I never felt ignored or insignificant. Staff is very friendly and helpful...even when they were assisting multiple other customers at the same time, including the check-out staff.

I can honestly say that I have never hated shopping at a store so much. On multiple occasions, I've experienced rude employees, and am rarely able to find what I need despite using the app. Continuously closing isles and disorganized inventory also seems worse at this location than any other Home Depot I've been to.

I feel confident that I will have the help I need to find anything in the store. The employees are very nice and helpful.

In general, everyone in my family Love Home Depot. They always have what I need for either, to start a new project t for my home or to grab a plant for my garden or to fix something or to clean, etc, etc etc. When we need it, any employee is happy to help. Good prices. Good vibe!!

Ladders and carts of returns or orders blocking aisles. Bare minimum of employees. Almost impossible to find some items because of the disorganized shelves. Store app says they have 95 sheets of FRP in stock but none in the 2 shelf areas designated for it. Another product is there instead. Always like this at this store.

The new manager Julian has done a great job transforming a store at one point that was a disappointing experience. Now I look forward going there and getting the help I need. Thanks James

Before moving to Goleta my business was in N Ill The HD stores there were much more organized and employees were more competent The best store back then was Northbrook

It is impossible to call about a problem and get help. The line for customer service is interminable. People are nice but even managers cannot help fix problems with installing custom order windows. Don't use their service...it doesn't work.

I have shopped here for many years because it’s the only one nearby and about every time it’s a disappointment. Many college students work here with high turnover.

Great store, great products, great service in the store just happy that you guys are there!

Lots of you college aged kids working here. All very friendly and eager to help. Store manager is cool too he's out on the floor engaging with customers and offering solutions. My favorite is the little red head lady that greets me coming and going at self check-out.

Still waiting for a washer and dryer delivery. No response to when this will happen. 3 days late so far snd no response from Home Depot.

And, if Goleta HD doesn't have it, I go online. However, one must be very careful with lumber. Boards are often in very poor condition.

Female worker in Paint Department completely ignored me until I walked over and asked her for help.

I have never experienced such a friendly check-out in my whole life. Cashier Nestor does deserve not to be doing customer service. That guy was friendly, and happy, and helped me in a matters of seconds to find the item I was looking for. While others only observed the customers he was helping me scan my items while jokingly sharing that Home Depot is stuck in the 80's because you guys don't take apple pay. I'm coming back to say hi to him!!
