Make Painting Easier with Paint Sprayers and Rental Scaffolding
Take advantage of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get optimal coverage and work much faster than you would with a brush or roller and a paint tray. Scaffolding rentals help you reach high surfaces when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry step ladders and extension ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're ready to get that job done.
Tame the Lawn and Greenery Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the lawn and bushes with edgers and rental lawn mowers, and get that sidewalk clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

How do I rent a moving truck or tool?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what trucks or tools you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You might also check out our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your favorite store. For more info on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool for an hour?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY jobs may only require a short rental period, and long-term jobs are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a cargo van, box truck, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you must return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract before you select a truck.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
