I was in the back, looking at a lamp, and the only thing I saw was the display. The lamp was kind of tall, so I was jumping up and down trying to see the top of the lamp because it was a very unusual lamp. The assistant manager, Scott had come riding by on some machine being spotted by another employee. When he saw me having trouble looking at the lamp. He stopped, got off of the machine, and assisted with getting the lamp down so I could actually see it more. At that time we figured there were no lamps in stock because we couldn’t find them anywhere, so I went on my way and he apologized. As I got to the front of the store, I saw Scott again, and it just so happened that I had taken a picture of the lamp because I liked it so much. I asked him if there was anyway possible that I could find a lamp at another Home Depot. It did not have any tag or anything on it. So he took a picture of my picture, and after about three minutes, he had found that there, indeed, were five lamps in the building . He gave me the information and I took a picture of it. He explain to me exactly how to get to the aisle, what day it was in and the location. He explained exactly how to find it, and where it was so when I went to the back, I immediately walked up to the right day, and found five of the lamps. I was so excited to get the lamp that I immediately put it in my cart and ran back up to the front to show him that I have found it with no effort, thanks to him. He has the greatest smile, and was genuinely friendly. I normally don’t do the home improvement stores. I’ll leave that to my husband, but he made today a great day, because I never can find anything on my own in that store. Scott is phenomenal!

The employees at this store are amazing! They always take an interest in what I’m building and suggest alternatives that often save me time and money. I have been shopping this store for 2 decades and I’ve never once had a negative experience. Many often remember me each time I come in making it more a friend greeting me than an employee.

I had a huge plumbing project and went into the store a few weeks ago. I also visited competitor's stores. This staff was the most helpful, looking up items online and steering me toward what was my best option and price. Thursday, I returned and spoke with the Pro Department - they rocked! Out of 7 area stores - the employees at this store were the kindest, and most helpful on 3 separate visits. On one trip, an employee who was just there shopping on his off day stopped to see if he could help me when the Pro desk was really busy.

Shout out to Ron and Carolynn for your outstanding help!!!! They are the best!!!! We were in and out in no time!!! So helpful and knowledgeable!

Jim at the Hermitage Home Depot is the best. He is a older guy that walks up to customers asking if they needed help. He'll help you and after you're satisfied with his help he'll look for the next customer to ask the same question. I hope the younger generation that works around him can learn from his work ethics. There are several other wonderful staff at the Hermitage store that makes our shopping experience an absolute pleasure.

I had to make a few (3)trips to get all the correct pieces for a small DIY clothing rack. I bought some wrong pieces, had to return them, them changed plans and needed something else. Everytime staff was friendly, smiling and helpful when I returned what I didn't need to get what I did.

Bought a new stove oven. Associate didn’t care to ask for our needs. Felt very rushed to get us to the counter and buy rather than shop for other options

Very pleased with this purchase. But the shopping experience was certainly top level. I'll definitely return in the future.

Went to buy a closet shelf unit (needed 2) and the web said that there were 5 in stock. There was only one and an associate couldn’t find any more. There were some of the wrong units located where the unit I was looking for was supposed to be.

I have been shopping at this store and on line for 3 yrs. I am very pleased with assistant received. Not like other stores… no one to assist you!

Steven Kim really was professional, always there to help . He want above and beyond to help me answering my questions along with great advises about Home Depot tools and how to make my projects easier, Every time I needed help he is always there to help with a smile,He is always willing to help even in other store departments!

Told the man I needed 60 of 3/0 awg wire cut it 5 foot short. His mistake my money now I gotta come back and buy more

I frequently use seven different HD stores here in middle Tennessee this store stands out from the rest for the teams in all departments friendly disposition and willingness to help out in any way they can is second to none. I would and could name quite a few of them now but list would be long, so instead I’ll just identify my self. I hail from the land down under, and I don’t think you would have seen me not wearing a hi-vis vest. Keep up the great work everyone and thank y’all for making my days happy ones.

I went to another store and was never asked if I needed help. When I walked back to the refrigerator section, I was warmly greeted by Carolyn. She helped me find a refrigerator and I ended up buying a stove too! She was the very best and the kind of sales associate you always hope to deal with!

I generally do not complain but geeze...is it too much to ask for assistance while shopping? Apparently at this store it is. Not only are employees unfamiliar with items, they show distain for being asked about them. And by all means don't ask for help lifting an 80lb bag of cement into your car. Your cashier apparently should not have to follow through on an overhead page while you wait 30 minutes for help. This would mean time away from her cell phone. The looks she gave me as I waited QUIETLY let me know she had done all she intended to do. When I said I would like to return the item as I couldn't get it into my car alone she wasted no time pointing me in the direction of customer service (where a bunch of able bodied people were standing by the way.)

I ordered water heater online. It arrived beat up and damaged. When attempting to return to store same day, manager wanted me to reapply for higher credit limit so she could charge my credicard again for the replacement water heater, while the original purchase charge was still pending on my credit card! After asking for higher store manager, Jaime (who claimed to be a manager) came up with the bright idea of voiding the item under warranty as damaged and allowing me to pay the difference for a replacement item of higher value! I spent over 2 hours in this store! Had i not asked for a higher manager, I honestly believe she would have let me leave the store without a replacement thinking I had to wait 3-5 bus days for the original charges to fall off of my credit card so I could then purchase a replacement water heater. Absolutely the poorest customer service I have experienced in a while! I'll never go there again abd promise to tell everyone I know about this experience. No apologies were even offered when we left store!

Most of the cashiers and service desk staff spend way too much time looking at their phones and when you approach them they act like you are a huge bother. Included.givimg you big exhales. So over it!!!

The staff at the Pro desk are always courteous and professional. They help me to find what I need and advise me on how to place my orders to be processed in a timely manner.

The staff is very helpful and attentive. The store is well organized.

Home Depot in Hermitage, Tennessee has always provided friendly, efficient service. I have never had a problem when I shop there.

Lester H provided exceptional service for me to purchase a new saw. He went and retrieved a cart and helped me load the saw. Then he accompanied me to checkout. He offered to walk to truck and help me load too but I told him I could manage. Employees at other stores will not personally assist patrons anymore - all they do is point to a direction for you to locate and decide what product to buy. Lester H. Is an extremely valuable asset to Home Depot!!
