If you get to the store, you may or may not be able to find someone to help you. And then if you are giving the correct information, you’re lucky. I hate the fact they closed off every other register. And with six people in line the cashiers don’t need to be having personal conversations while ignoring their customers in line.

After confirming Stock on Hand for very specific items, I ordered and PAID for them along with the Delivery fee and was given a specific delivery date for my area.
Home Depot called me the day before to RE-CONFIRM my being available for the delivery for the next morning.
THAT VERY NEXT morning HOME DEPOT called to inform me that 2 out of the 3 products THAT I PAID FOR were no longer in stock.
Basically Home Depot failed to pull my order and SOLD the items out from under me.
Then, they had NO IDEA for WHEN those items could be delivered and wanted to know if they should just deliver the 1 product that they had and backorder the rest.
When I expressed my Anger for them 'Reselling' the items that I already paid for and asked to speak to the Store manager I was stuck in the phone tree for several rounds of a cyclic redundancy check. When a 'On Duty Site Manager' FINALLY came on... I had to RE-Tell my entire story only to have him say he'd have to look into the matter and get back with me. Which he never did. That was yesterday.
I called back today trying to get ANOTHER onsite Store Manager because the one I spoke with yesterday wasn't THERE... AGAIN... I went into a good 7-8 minutes of Phone tree hellishness.. going BACK to the operator at least 3 separate times. When she FINALLY put me through to 'Todays' Onsite Manager, regarding trying to pin down a FIRM delivery on the products I've paid for, he basically said he'd have to look into it and get back with me.
I'm STILL WAITING TO HEAR BACK and I'm NOT AT ALL happy with Home Depot's incompetency and disrespect at this point.

Management is awful, lazy and rude and it trickles down to their staff. I'd rather drive 2 hours away to buy large appliances that are in stock at a competitors store than wait 2 months for my order to get in. I felt very unsafe in the Hilo location. Many employees were not wearing their masks CORRECTLY, only covering their mouth and not their noses. One only had a face shield and no mask and several had their masks hanging off one ear and not completely on. My cashier whose nose was NOT covered sneezed all over the place, wiped her nose with her hand and kept cashiering, unavailable and unacceptable! Every time I've ever been in this location it's nearly impossible to get help and if I can wrangle anybody for assistance, they usually have no clue and say "try another isle" or "look it up on the app" and walk away.

Prior to today, I would have had no problems giving Home Depot a 4 or 5 star rating. However, after today, your security guards are going to cost you business if you don't teach them some basic customer service skills.
I was already inside Home Depot shopping when an impulse buy of a patio table and umbrella meant I needed a larger cart. I told the female security guard at the garden shop door that I needed to grab a flat cart, which was a few steps outside the door, because there was no room left in my regular shopping cart for the patio table. She informed me that if I left the building to get another cart, I would need to stand at the end of the main entrance line to get in again. I asked her if she was kidding since I was already inside the store shopping, so why couldn't I just grab another cart. She pulled her mask down and very sarcastically told me that she was not kidding and that what was going to happen if I got another cart (just a few steps outside to door).
I was so angry that I was getting ready to leave without purchasing anything when I asked a sale associate coming in the door at that time if he could get me a flat cart. He not only got the cart but also lifted the patio table for me and put it on the new cart, the saving grace of the visit.
Regardless to what the security guard was required to do, her sarcasm was totally unnecessary. Also, if customers are not allowed to take a few steps outside the door to grab a different cart when, like me, ending up buying more than expected, then put a variety of carts inside the entrance for us to use.

She treated my family and I as if we had the plague. This type of treatment will not be tolerated from someone who’s company spends significant amount of money at this establishment.

I had a terrible experience at the paint department on 3/4/20. About 630PM no one else in the paint department and only one associate, I approached the counter and the woman associate there saw me coming and ducked down behind the counter before I could speak with her. I waited several minutes as I could tell see was occupied below the counter and then walked around the side so she could see me. On her hands and knees she turned toward me, finally acknowledged my presence and said she'd help me in a minute and turned back away. I slowly walked to the paints assuming when she was finished she would come over. Nope! I waited several minutes, and then walked back to the counter and now she was restocking the paint chips. Apparently that's what she was doing under the counter, getting paint chips. I was getting frustrated, as I needed to get paint to finish something in the morning, so I went alone to the paints to see if I could get the color I needed. She never helped me, I didn't find what I was looking for, and when I went back to the counter she was now helping another customer. She never even made eye contact the entire time I was there. I get the feeling she deliberately ignored me the whole time! I've never complained about something like this before, but I feel it needs to be done. This person should not be in a service position if she is selective about who she serves. I will never approach this person again for help!
