The Home Depot Rental Center at Imperial Marketplace

When you're beginning to make the leap into a big home improvement job, you might not have every tool you need in a shed or workshop. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Imperial Marketplace.

Tool Rental
Our tool and equipment rental choices enlarge your toolbelt with the precise tools you require to complete a DIY job. It's not practical to keep a specialty tool when you're rarely reaching for it. When you're considering a new tool, try it out first before you decide which one to buy. Whatever your situation, we have the tools you're looking for.

Make Painting Easier with Paint Sprayers and Rental Scaffolding
Beautiful sunny days are a great time to tackle outdoor painting projects. Renew surfaces with a fresh coat of paint. Whether you need ladder rentals for painting fences, or scaffolding rentals for painting a shed or house, or a paint sprayer rental for professional coverage, we have what you need.

Rent Shop Vacuums, Post Hole Diggers, and Floor Sanders
Tackle major projects with robust power tool rentals. Take your scuffed hardwood floor to the next level with a floor sander rental and a wet/dry vacuum to get the floors smooth and ready for refinishing. Construct a new fence around your pool or property faster and more efficiently with a post hole digger rental, then utilize other concrete tools to securely set your fence posts.

Truck and Cargo Van Rentals
For transporting large tool rentals or anything else, we keep trucks of all kinds ready to roll. Although availability varies by store, we've got a selection ranging from cargo vans to pickups to flatbed trucks. We'll have the right size for your project so you can keep your job on track. As your source for DIY projects, packing, and storage needs, it's smart to make us your source for truck rental as well.

Box Truck and Penske Moving Truck Rentals
If it's time to relocate to a new home, we can help with that as well. Explore our rental box trucks. We also offer Penske moving trucks in sizes ranging from 12-feet to 26-feet, but as always, availability varies from store to store. Use our trucks to haul all your belongings — from everything in a college dorm to the contents of a 4-bedroom house. Our box trucks have different sizes and rental requirements than Penske moving trucks, so check the FAQ or speak to an associate to make sure you choose the right rental truck for you.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle expansive projects with the right pro equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job yourself. From the scissor lifts and boom lifts to give you a boost to the skid steers for hauling materials, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.

Although we're mentioning specific large equipment, truck, and tool rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular item in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent large equipment, tools, or trucks?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see which trucks or tools you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You might also visit our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is at your local store. For more info on renting large equipment or tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent large equipment or a tool by the hour?

Tool rentals and large equipment rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement jobs may only require a short rental period, and long-term jobs aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When can I bring the tools back?

It's fine to return the tools early if you complete your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a week?

Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the documentation before you choose a vehicle.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Can I rent a truck or large equipment with only a driver's license?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Do I need to go get my large equipment rental from the store?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered to your job site for a reasonable cost — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. We'll need at least 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented equipment and you'll need to rent it for a full day. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.

What are some ways to avoid penalties and extra fees on my large equipment rentals?

Treat your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the instructions so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get charged a late fee.
