The Home Depot Rental Center at King Of Prussia

When you're starting to dive into a major home improvement project, you might not have all the required tools in the shed or workshop. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in King Of Prussia.

Tool Rental
Our tool rental options expand your toolbox with the exact tools you need to complete a DIY job. It's impractical to invest in a specialized tool when you're not using it frequently. When you're in the market for a new tool, do a trial run before you choose which one to buy. Whatever your situation, we have the power tools you're looking for.

Make Painting Easier with Ladder and Paint Sprayer Rentals
Take advantage of longer spring days and paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get optimal coverage fast and make surfaces look new again. Rent scaffolding and ladders to reach high areas when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry step ladders and extension ladders for small to medium jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're ready to work.

Rent Floor Sanders, Post Hole Diggers, Shop Vacuums, and More
Tackle serious projects with reliable power tool rentals. Take your scuffed wooden floor to the next level with a floor sander rental and a shop vac to get the floors smooth and ready for refinishing. Construct a new fence around your property faster with a post hole digger rental, then utilize other concrete tools to securely set your fence posts.

Truck Rental
For transporting large tool rentals or anything else, we keep box trucks and cargo vans rental-ready — with availability varying by store. We also offer Penske moving trucks ranging from 12-foot to 26-foot lengths at certain stores. Choose the correct size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for DIY jobs, it's simple to make us your go-to source for transport and moving as well.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle expansive projects with the right professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the boom lifts and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini skid steers and excavators capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.

Although we're mentioning popular large equipment, truck, and tool rentals, our rental center may not have everything on hand for your required time frame. If you've got a particular tool in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a truck?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see which tools or trucks you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You might also visit our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your favorite store. For more on renting large equipment or tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, which includes equipment terms and conditions.

Can I rent a tool or large equipment by the hour?

Large equipment rentals and tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and long-term jobs aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a few hours?

Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you must bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the documentation before you select a vehicle.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the truck, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck or large equipment?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Select tools as well as large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.

Do I need to pick up my large equipment rental from the store?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for an affordable rate — out in the field or at your own home. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid extra fees and penalties on rented large equipment?

Think of your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get hit with a late fee.
