The Home Depot Rental Center at Plymouth Township

Take on any home improvement project with the right tools — even if you don't have them on hand. Rent power tools, use them, and take them back when you're done. Complete your project without taking up your shed or garage with tools you rarely need.

Tool Rental
Using The Home Depot Plymouth Township Tool Rental Center lets you do more complex DIY projects. No more old hand-me-down tools that limit what you can do. Rent quality tools to complete your project safely and confidently. If your local store doesn't have the needed tool in stock, you might find it at another one within driving distance.

Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, update your insulation in the spring, if possible — before it gets dangerously hot in your attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to get it installed correctly. Decide between a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies properly. You'll enjoy a more consistent home temperature and steadier utility bills with new insulation.

Tame the Lawn and Bushes Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the driveway and sidewalks with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Rental Trucks
If it's time to get started on your next project but you need to rent a truck to do it, come to The Home Depot Truck Rental Center. From flatbed and pickup trucks to box trucks and Penske moving trucks, we've got the transportation you need. Get the right size for your DIY project so you can keep your job on track. Rent a truck to check off more DIY jobs from your list. Check with your local rental center for availability, as it changes.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent tools or trucks?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools and trucks are up for rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You can also check out our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your local store. For more on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.

How long can I rent tools?

You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement projects may only require a short rental period, and bigger jobs are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.

When can I bring the tools back?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you complete your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I rent a truck for a few hours?

Rent a cargo van, box truck, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract before choosing your truck.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the vehicle, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
