The Home Depot Rental Center at Mansfield, TX

When it's time to make the leap into a home improvement job, you might not have every tool you need in a shed or garage. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Mansfield, TX.

Tool Rental
Our tool rental options expand your toolbox and toolbelt with the precise tools you require to complete your DIY project. It's impractical to buy a specialized tool when you're only using it once in a while. When you're thinking about buying a new tool, try it out before you choose which to get. Whatever your situation, we have just what you're looking for.

Rent Floor Sanders, Post Hole Diggers, Shop Vacuums, and More
Tackle major jobs with robust power tool rentals. Take your scuffed wooden floor to the next level with a floor sander rental and a shop vacuum rental to get the floors smooth and ready for refinishing. Construct a new fence around your property faster with a post hole digger rental, then utilize other concrete tools to securely set your fence posts.

Make Painting Easier with Paint Sprayers and Rental Scaffolding
Gorgeous spring days are a great time to tackle outdoor painting projects. Renew surfaces with a fresh coat of paint. Whether you need a paint sprayer rental for professional coverage, scaffolding rentals for painting a shed or house, or rental ladders for painting fences, we have what you need.

Truck Rental
For your transport needs, we keep flatbed trucks and box trucks ready for rental — with availability varying by store. We also offer Penske moving trucks ranging from 12-foot to 26-foot lengths at certain stores. You're sure to find the correct size truck rental for your project so you can keep your job on track. As your source for storage, packing, and DIY, it's simple to make us your go-to source for moving and transport as well.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle expansive projects with pro equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job yourself. From the boom lifts and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and skid steers capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got an expansive variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.

Although we're calling out popular truck, large equipment, and tool rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular piece of equipment in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent tools, trucks, or large equipment?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You may also visit our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is available at your local store. For more information on renting large equipment or tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.

Can I rent large equipment or a tool by the hour?

You can rent a tool or large equipment for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you complete your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

How long can I rent a truck?

Rent a cargo van, box truck, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the terms and conditions before choosing a vehicle.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck or large equipment?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

How do I get my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered to your job site for an affordable rate — whether that's at your home or out in the field. We'll need at least 24 hours notice so we can prepare your rental delivery for you and you'll need to rent it for a full day. Speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.

How do I avoid extra fees and penalties on rented large equipment?

Treat your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get charged a late fee.
