When you're starting to dive into a home improvement project, you might not have all the required tools in a garage. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Mishawaka.
Tool and Equipment Rental
Our tool rental choices expand your toolbox with the precise tools you require to complete a DIY job. It's not necessary to invest in a specialty tool when you're not using it frequently. When you're searching for a new tool, give it a spin first before you decide which to buy. Whatever your situation, we have the power tools you're looking for.
Rent Floor Sanders, Post Hole Diggers, Shop Vacs, and More
Tackle serious jobs with reliable power tools. Use a rental tiller to get your garden bed ready for planting or ensure fresh sod lays just right with a sod cutter rental. Construct a new fence around your pool or property faster and more efficiently with a post hole digger rental, then utilize other concrete tools that suit your project.
Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Ladders
Beautiful springtime days are a great time to tackle outdoor painting projects. Make surfaces look new again with a fresh coat of paint. Whether you need a paint sprayer rental for professional coverage, scaffolding rentals for painting a house or shed, or rental ladders for painting fences, we have what you need.
Rental Trucks
To meet your transport needs, we keep cargo vans and Penske moving trucks ready to rent — with availability varying by store. Choose the right size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for storage, packing, and DIY projects, it's smart to make us your source for transport and moving as well.

How do I rent tools or trucks?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what trucks or tools you can rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You may also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your favorite store. For more on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, which includes equipment terms and conditions.
Can I rent a tool for an hour?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental for a few hours, and long-term projects can also be accommodated. You've got options to rent tools by the month, day, or week, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any built-up dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
How long can I rent a truck?
Rent a cargo van, box truck, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the terms and conditions before you choose a truck.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
