While the More Home Depot store and staff were great. I will only shop at Home Depot as a whole when I have absolutely no other options due to bad experiences starting with Home Depot in Norman leading me to call the Home Depot corporate complaint hotline that in turn left me not only feeling insulted but also discriminated against as a disabled vet. Just a small part of everything that took me from a very loyal customer to where I am now: It started off with the Norman H.D. store offing a $100 off a large appliance purchase if I applied for a H.D. credit card. So applied and was approved and then was denied the $100 off. The salesman had made it sound like the $100 off was a given if the application was approved (it was approved). He failed to tell the exclusions that included the appliance we bought.... Almost felt like a bait and switch (you get this discount if you apply and then once you apply and approved oh, that discount does not apply to the purchase) . So the store customer service gave me a coupon to use the next time I was in the store. Wasn't totally happy, but..... Covid hit and closed the store down and I also had to be very car full and could not afford to be-exposed to Covid due to the extent of my existing injuries (I did later get Covid and was hospitalized for a week/it was touch and go there for a bit). I went into the store 32 days after the coupon was issued and was told, oh it just expired two days ago and there was nothing that could be done to extend it (despite the store being closed)..... So left me feeling let down again and cheated in some ways. Then I found the H.D. card had been sent to wrong address and it was like pulling teeth to get them to deactivate the physical card to protect me against the possibility of unauthorized charges by who ever they sent my card to. (literally took 5 calls and 2 hours on hold) By this point I started doing what it took to make double payments so I could get the card payed off early and cut ties with it because I had lost all faith in H.D. as a whole. On the final payment I sent in, H.D. card Co ran that check against my bank twice taking double the payoff. Fortunately my bank was able to quickly step in and stooped the second draft preventing me from having possible overdraft situation.... I called in they were totally unapologetic and when I told them I wanted to cancel my card due to all the issues, they tried to use tactics like telling me if I canceled my card with them that I could not re-apply with then and they tried a few other high presser tactics. In my initial call to the H.D. cooperator complaint hot line, I was told because I was sales tax exempt by Oklahoma law due to the level of injuries I sustained during my military survive, that I did not deserve any military discount though H.D. or any of the normal sales advertised to everyone because my sale tax exemption... I immediately asked to speak with that reps boss, she informed me that was H.D policy and that was it.... As a disabled vet this left me feeling totally discriminated against..... Other vets and civilians can have the sales and discounts offered but because my states deemes me tax exempt I am not allowed the same advantages (Note: a later rep indicated she was incorrect, but the damages has been done) I called back to the H.D. complaint hotline about 30 days later and that rep seamed to be nice enough, He said he wanted to run this up though his bosses and he would get back to me. After 90 days I had head nothing so I got in contact with him again. The following conversations left me with the impression that no action was taken, totally dismissive... So the questions I now have is: is this an isolated incident where I just fell thought all the cracks or could this also be happening to others disabled vets like me and if so has H.D. leadership lost perspective of taking care of its customers and treating them fairly or is H.D. only focused on profits? If this is the case, then I will continue to elect only to shop at H.D. as a whole only when I have no other chose. Just to add insult to injury, I had to re-file with home depot 3 times on the tax exemption (tax exemption got canx by corporate twice). While I hope this is not the ground truth, from my perspective it almost feel like, if its made hard enough that vets with this state benefit, will not use it though home depot. The sad this is the disabled vet sales tax exemption has absolutely no impact on H.D. bottom lines/profit margins... So why did I have to repeatedly re-apply my state sales tax exemption with Home Depot customer service and then receive multiple notifications for H.D. corp saying they were going to canx it If I could not show additional prof... (OK state Tax commission stated that in accordance with state code, no additional prof was needed!) So in conclusion. if I have to set foot in a Home Depot. While it doubles my drive time I will drive past the Home depot in Norman to go to the Home Depot in More due to their staff and customer service....

The store needs to make employees available to assist customers in finding merchandise and loading the heavier than usual in other areas of the store AND designate a specific area for online orders so they are not all over the area blocking and inconveniencing in-sore customer and reducing congestion and allowing access to products! Today I could not find ANYONE in appliances after calling for over an hour and then driving across the city to get the information we needed to prepare for next day delivery of appliance. I was livid by this time and just yelled for help. This incredible young person named Cruse came from another dept I’m sure and in a respectful, calm, customer friendly manner was able to help me and was so polite almost made up for all my frustrations with the Moore store. And heaven forbid could the manager make his presence known. We have spent thousands of dollars in the past at this store, but will think twice in the future. Be thankful for your guy named Cruse (don’t know last name, but made sure to get his first on apron), and I might add the head gal in appliance finally showed up and snapped at Cruse because he attempted quietly to ask her for help for me as she was trying to avoid me.
