The Home Depot Rental Center at N Scottsdale

Take on any new DIY project with the tools you need — even if you don't currently own them. Rent power tools, use them, and take them back when you're done. Complete your project without cluttering up garage or workshop storage with tools you only reach for once in a while.

Tool and Equipment Rental
Using The Home Depot N Scottsdale Tool Rental Center lets you do larger DIY projects. Break free of the limits of old tools and rent up-to-date tools made to suit your projects. Rent the tools to finish your project confidently and safely. If your local store doesn't have the needed tool in stock, it might be available at another one within driving distance.

Tame the Trees and Lawn Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the lawn and shrubs with rental lawn mowers and edgers, and get that sidewalk clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.

Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, replace your insulation in the spring — before it gets dangerously hot in your attic. Rent equipment made for insulation to get it installed correctly. Decide between a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies well. Installing insulation keeps your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, all while tempering your heating and cooling bills.

Rental Trucks
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep pickup trucks and box trucks ready to rent — with availability varying by store. Choose the correct size truck rental for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for DIY jobs, it's smart to make us your go-to source for transport and moving as well.

To get tools and transportation for your DIY or home improvement project, check out The Home Depot Tool and Truck Rental Center in N Scottsdale. Having the correct tools for the job makes a difference. We're here to help you get that DIY project done.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent tools or trucks?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools or trucks you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You may also read our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is available at your local store. For more info on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.

Can I rent a tool for a week?

You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

How long can I rent a truck?

Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you must return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the terms and conditions before choosing a truck.

Should I refill the rental truck with gas before I bring it back?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Make a note of the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
