Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, CFLs, and lead acid batteries for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used in composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
LED lights in your local store reduced energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like solar and wind.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to our communities and the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Read more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

Do I need a generator?
We've got the variety you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise while they create less power. When browsing generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
Why should I repair my roof before spring severe weather arrives?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperature swings by replacing any faulty or broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in any crevices, you could have problems. On the outside of your home, examine metal roofs or shingles for rust or damage that could let water leak in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams if you're prone to frozen precip as the seasons change. Check cinder block and brick for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed if damaged.
Do you have doorbell cameras?
Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy and flexible accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
