Returning damaged toilet delivered to our house anyway.
Forced to return a toilet ordered online, delivered already broken in the box. Not very fair driver knew the toilet was broken and refused to take it back as a refused delivery. We had to return it to the store ourselves.

      Look for Jose at the lumber / concrete Aisles or Alonzo at the Pro Desk.
      Over the past 5 days I made several trips to the Home Depot and it can be a hit or miss. Sometimes I will ask for help and the persons attitude can be "that is not my department, go wait and I will call someone to help you" - 40 minutes later & still no one. Or they can be superb experiences where you can tell the person actually enjoys working there and helping out customers, this was the case at your Norwalk store where Jose was extremely friendly and helpful, even loaded materials into our truck with a fork lift. Also Alonzo at the Pro desk was very helpful, polite and friendly. Please make sure that both of these people know that their effort is appreciated and it shouldn't go unrewarded. Give them each a million dollars or whatever the highest award that can be given to an employee who genuinely cares about their craft and provides outstanding customer service.

        Helpful staff at Home Depot in Norwalk
        four times recently I went to my local Home Depot in Norwalk on the Post Road looking for a specific item but didn't know where it might be found. Each time a staff person at the front of the store directed me to an aisle and once there another staff person directed me to the specific item. Couldn't have been nicer!

          Terrible service. Store fumbled the order 3 times.and wasted hours of my time looking for an order n that was allegedly complete and was not
          Never expect to pick up what is reported to be in the store as they are totally incompetent and unreliable after 3 visits. They waste your time and there is no accountability

            Hollywood in the Kitchen Appliance Department is the Best Employee Home Depot has ever had!
            I’ll start by saying that I’d never met Hollywood at Home Depot until a visit last night. He came out of kitchen appliances to enthusiastically help us in countertops. He was knowledgeable. Helped us load our items onto the cart. Offered to check us out at a nearby station. Explained the return policy and the pricing on the receipt and was just overall happy to be working and supporting customers shopping needs. I barely spoke because I was in such awe of his customer service. Find Hollywood when you’re shopping. He’s dedicated to his role at Home Depot and was a joy to work with.

              Never depend on their delivery dates.
              For the second year in a row I ordered mulch to be delivered to my home the following week. This year was for 100 bags and I had my landscaper lined up to put it down 2 days after the projected delivery date with a $400 deposit for his services. The day of the delivery I received an EMAIL stating it would now be delivered the following week. So I've paid someone to put it down, got up at 5 am to be ready for a 6 am delivery and now nothing. A young lady (Dineen, probably spelled wrong) at HD did get involved and spent a considerable amount of time trying to remedy the situation but could not. She did initiate an additional discount but unfortunately it could not cover my deposit. Again this is the second year in a row so I guess I'm the fool for going there again. No more, except for Dineen, no one there cares.

                Store is well stocked but poorly managed. Registers are un manned and long lines unless you go to self check out. Ghost carts all over store with items on them that are blocking isles. Management needs to be talked to about these issues. Shelves are well stocked on a good note. Pro desk is never staffed and I am a contractor.

                      Employees don’t really care in this store. Always find a way to look busy when you are looking for help and when you do find one to help they seem to get lost

                            Took my grandkids to the kids clinic and it was awesome! They were very helpful with the craft even supplied the paint and brushes!

                              I was helped by Rose from the Norwalk Home Depot. She went above and beyond to discuss my project and offered some solutions that I had not thought about. In doing so it made my project easier, safer and more affordable. my thanks goes out to Rose.

                                  This is only regarding Home Depot's customer service via local phone
                                  HIRE more people! It's not your current employees' faults that they cannot adequately address customer needs when they do not have the manpower. After waiting over an hour spread over 2 phone calls, and getting no one to answer questions, and take my order over the phone, I had to go to the store itself, where I was then told it's not their policy to hold a large purchase until my carpenter could pick it up. The floor manager ended up satisfying my needs, but only after I became angry. Do better, Depot!

                                          A big mess
                                          I’m happy I was able to help myself as there was no one to ask a simple question. The employee I did find spoke no English. I will avoid this establishment as Much as possible and continue to make online purchases
