Upon entering the plant section it was like I entered a tropical forest!! Lots of fun, interesting plants to choose from!

I went to the ProDesk four times over the weekend and it was never staffed. Finally got someone on Monday who didn’t greet me, was rude, not helpful in my asking for help with an order. I took my $2.5k order to the Somersworth store and got great customer service and actual help. Take the extra 15 minutes and go to Somersworth if you want to work with professionals.

I was looking for a plumbing fitting; I had brought in the part I wanted to ensure the fitting would match. I found two fittings (one I had found online, the other while looking at the store) yet the part I really wanted would only work with one end of the fitting. One of the HD employees checked to ensure the part was OK (using a mounted fitting guide which I had totally missed seeing) and it worked fine, so it must have been something to do with the part I brought in. This is not the first time an employee has come to my "rescue"; they are very friendly and helpful.

I’ve seen an improvement in the quality of the lumber in stock. I drove from York Maine to Portsmouth to purchase “Premium” 2”x4”x8’ and 2”x4”x12’ lumber for a special project. These units were straight and high quality which blew me away.

Very helpful people who wanted to make sure we got what we needed.

Darleen is very helpful, and I was very happy to see an old HD friend of ours, Brian, who has been with you for over 27 years. I asked him if he owned the store after all these years, he smiled and said, Not yet, Woody.

I worked with a great professional (Mike Laflamme) in your flooring Department. He was so helpful, patient, courteous, and knowledgeable . In fact we are getting a quote this Saturday. These days, it’s rare to go into a store and get impeccable service from the moment you walk through the door unto you cash out. This is the service I received with your store. Thank you!

Recently worked with Alex to design and purchase kitchen cabinets. Alex was everything you want in a kitchen designer. Thoughtful, knowledgeable, calm, patient, with a very good sense of humor, really listens to find out what you like, but will also provide input as to what options there are and what works well and looks good. Highly recommend!

The contractor parking had materials that would not be used this time of year to prevent parking in contractor parking area. Very different than the helpful setup in Rochester.

My Home Depot experience was great — several people helped me with the different choices and the self check out person was outstanding!!

After the great help that I received from Shawna I will always go to this Home Depot and hopefully she’s working when I’m in the store. I’ve never received any help like this before and I hope everyone could take a page from out of her book to go above and beyond for the customer. Sonja

I have no problem with expensive things being locked up with display models available for inspection but I find this recent trend of locking up everything without display models (e.g. all Ryobi lawn and garden tools) to be difficult. If I didn't have so much already invested in Ryobi cordless tools, I would go to a different brand with better availability for inspection.

A washing machine was delivered by a Home Depot subcontractor to my home in Southwest Harbor, Maine on November 2, 2024. The two men who delivered were friendly, on time, and VERY careful of everything. I couldn't be happier with their service.

On my recent visit to the Portsmouth NH Home Depot, I had an uncomfortable experience with one of the security guards. After purchasing a small item priced around $6 and leaving the store, the guard approached me outside and asked me to provide my receipt. I noticed he wasn’t doing this with other customers, which made me feel unfairly targeted. I believe this extra scrutiny was likely due to my appearance “skin color”, as I felt singled out and judged. It was disappointing to feel this way in a place where I usually feel comfortable shopping. I hope Home Depot will take steps to ensure all customers feel welcomed and respected in their stores.”

The associates were able to point me in the correct position for several items I was searching for. One of the items needed had a recent price reduction. The friendly checkout associate applied my gift card to my balance and I was on my way.

I've been working on a renovation and I work on the house durning the day and make my list of supplies while working. After work, I go on line and order my stuff and on the way to the site the next day I quickly pick up my order- perfect!

WE PURCHASED BOTH CARPETS AND FLOORING AND COULDN'T BE HAPPIER. SHAWNA WAS SO KNOWLEDGEABLE. THE CARPET INSTALLERS WERE AMAZING AND VERY HELPFUL. THE FLOORING INSTALLER DID AN AWESOME JOB

While I most commonly am going to Home Depot for something easy like batteries or salt for water filtration, two were for more difficult projects. One was a seal for a bathroom shower door, and although the item was not displayed the employee persisted and found the item I needed. This visit was for new appliances on a rental condo I will eventually live in. This employee had thoughtful suggestions discussions on installation, concerns on buying or not buying warranties, and asked a supervisor if she needed help with anything. She was clearly there for me as a customer.

Great store with a good inventory on products. Very clean.

I have been working with the folks at the pro desk for two years and they have always been knowledgeable and professional.

I build cabinets and furniture as a hobby. Home Depot is my goto store for most of my building needs. If they don't have what I need in the store, I can usually get it in a couple of days with an online order.

I am often asked if I needed help to find something and a staff member leads me right to it! that saves me time and aggravation,.not a bad deal.

Everyone that I encountered were very pleasant. Asking if I needed any assistance. Great attitudes!!!

Patty at the ‘pro desk’ provided abysmal service today and is certainly no pro.

Delivery was scheduled for 4/22 and never happened. After two long waits on the phone. First one was 45’ HD hung up! Informed on 5/14 that product was not available at this store. Lost discount that was originally used.

Good store near my house. Much better experience than going to the competitor store where I haven't seen an actual register open in 4 or 5 years. I fear that one day I may walk into the store and find that the malaise was finally too much and all the associates will be hanged from the ceiling or gathered around a punchbowl of eternity flavored Kool-aid. No, this Home Depot is a veritable celebration of mankind akin to the ticker tape parades in the Canyon of Heros and the first king cake of Carnival in the French Quarter of N'awlins

In Newington, NH, a cashier named Peggy Ann was so wonderful. She engaged us with humor and fun.
