I purchased and had a mirrored bifold door installed a few years ago, but my tenant damaged it. All I need is to have the door popped out, and the new one popped in. Home Depot and their installation contractor charged $430 for labor!!! I can't do it myself, because it's too heavy. They are charging me $150 for hazardous material (lead paint), because my house was built in 1971, one year before the cutoff. What lead paint, it's a door! I was told, they have to replace the top track for the guarantee. I'm selling the house, and don't need a guarantee. This is insane. 3 or 4 screws to replace a rail that is working fine, are going to cost me $150?? If I had time, I would just buy the door and hire a handyman. The door itself is only $219, so almost 2x just to swap out a door! I'm livid.

Home Depot promised delivery of new appliances. They just keep sending delay notices. They want the profit from a sale, but aren't willing to step up and take responsibility. Avoid Home Depot.

so I went to the Home Depot needing possible door knob or possible latch or something like that. Asked what I owe that would be in. They gave me the wrong aisle number happens. It’s OK but needed help. Nobody’s around did see the customer service employees talking to each other I have no idea what they were talking about, but you just kinda looked at me and look past me. As did the other employees. I wish I had the name of the person that finally pointed me in the right direction, but then someone else asked for help and of course he had to go help those people because they Just kind of cut in front of me while I was talking to the employee and then he asked me did you need any more help? I said well not sure and he started helping the other people immediately.

Went to the store to purchase a Christmas Tree because into another Home Depot I couldn’t find the one I like, in first HD from Elk Grove Village, IL all trees were 50% off, confirmed with the associates, but I didn’t liked what they had and I drove to Schaumburg where I liked the trees, can’t compain, but they didn’t wanted to honor the 50% off, they said that the exactly christmas tree I chose 7-8ft Novel Fir is not at sale, honestly was a lie because I was told something else into Elk Grove Village HD store with 20min before, they started to talk about different suppliers and that a Home Depot store can have different promo prices than others because of that. They didn’t wanted to check with the manager so I bought it at full price, I’m not planning to go back never ever to that store.

Will definitely shop again. Very good customer service overall.

Not my local Home Depot so I accidentally entered through an entrance that didn’t have any carts. I asked a young man that worked there where the carts were and he gave me the one that he was using. I didn’t ask him to but he gave it to me anyway. Small gesture but that’s great customer service to me.

I purchase a scotch pine Christmas tree from this Home Depot as I have for several years. They were very well priced and I got a nice tree.

I have had multiple bad experiences with untrained employees at this store. Yes there are really good employees as well and they have been in this store for a long time. The problem is with the newer/temp employees who either just hang around doing nothing or are just outright unprofessional. As a pinnacle of the poor customer experience I've been having, a employee in the garden center check out area chastised me for bringing my pup into the garden center and also had the nerve to call my poor doggie "gross". My doggie and I have visited the store multiple times before and we know that Home Depot welcomes pets. I guess since this woman was not trained properly, she bought her own personal agenda to her work and was quick to show her hatred towards animals.

More times than not I had to look for assistance. The last time I had to wait 25 minutes for a simple wire cut.

The lady who assisted me to purchase the refrigerador was very patient and pleasant, she took the time to help me decide and to work on detailed delivery process. Maybe that's her job duty, but she had a very nice positive attitude.

I bought this mower just yesterday. The mower works great and the bag for the clippings holds a lot of capacity. The only problem is that as soon as I hit uneven ground, the right side of the bag unhinges(noticed this even before my first bag filled). I had to add a couple of screws so that I could continue mowing without having to readjust the bag.

Schaumburg store is conveniently located and well stocked. Only challenge is to find a home depot staff to answer a question or finding the location of the item. In Appliance area, we have to wait 30 minutes for the staff, as they were busy with other customer.

I am a 65 year old woman who is very handy and I do a lot of DIY. I needed help buying shoe molding because of its length. The young man who helped me was very respectful and nice. Some of your associates only want to deal with contractors but I know a lot more than most contractors.

I was shopping to buy a new stove, washing machine and dishwasher. The employees were very attentive, walked the aisles with me, were very patient and helped me sort thru confusing details that made it VERY easy for me to decide to purchase here. Very efficient and kind. The 12 mo interest free promo is what brought me in but the employee got me to the finish line. I left VERY grateful. Good shopping experience

Visiting, knowing what we were exactly looking for. Each employee we encountered ,asked my husband and I, how they could help, and pointed us in the right direction. Thank You.

I buy many different products from this Home Depot store ranging from garden flowers, cleaning products to refrigerator filters. I can always find what I need and the store employees can always help me find what I'm looking for.

Thank you for having great staffs on the floor. Everyone that i asked for some assistant during my visit, they took their time to assist me, even when they are busy.

The employees have a great attitude, they offer 5 Start service and make sure that each customer is overall happy with what they are looking for.

We went in for flooring project. Erik was very nice and helpful to find the panels that we needed. Our cashier Melissa was also very friendly and quick.

I have consistently shopped at this store for 10+ years and always find it clean, organized, and friendly. Items I need are almost always in stock. Bought a shed last weekend and didn't have to wait around to load it into my truck; got help immediately on a busy Saturday.
