Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, and CFLs for recycling.
Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
Since 2010, we have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our associates and customers. This commitment extends beyond our stores to our local communities, as well as the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

Do you offer huge Halloween yard decorations?
We offer several types of huge outdoor Halloween decorations, including many life-sized animatronics. Make your yard the scariest in the neighborhood with giant Halloween decor options, including skeletons, dragons, and witches. Dean the Deathologist and Skelly, the giant 12-foot skeleton, are two current favorites. Halloween inflatables, especially the big ones, make a huge visual impact.
Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances life throws at you. Whether you're dealing with tornados, hurricanes, snowstorms, thunderstorms, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements knock it out. When browsing generators for sale, remember that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
What home repairs should I make before it gets cold?
Ready your home for cold weather by replacing any broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in any crevices, you could have problems. On the outside of your home, examine roofing shingles or metal roofs for damage or rust that could let water leak into your home. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams. Check brickwork and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped if they're damaged.
What storage solutions do you offer?
As you prepare for the holidays, stow what you don't need to enjoy extra space. Protect fragile items with moving blankets. Garage cabinets keep tools, decorations, and more out of the way. Remove summer belongings from the equation with shoe racks and other storage bins. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you plenty.
How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?

You can purchase them at our stores or online at homedepot.com. If you're a recipient, you can visit the Seneca Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online.
