Renee did something that warmed my heart what an employee I would give her a raise

I spent about two hours in Home Depot today. Trying to figure out how he’s going to get a barbecue back to my place to surprise my husband tomorrow for his birthday. Jacob took the time to check out all the delivery options, which there were none for the same-day delivery, called multiple people to see if we could try to squeeze in a same delivery, and even check delivery for tomorrow morning, but it wouldn’t arrive soon enough. He even showed me all the rental options that Home Depot has, and how I could go about moving his big barbecue by myself. He looked at multiple barbecues with me to make sure that they were in perfect condition, moving them, putting them back, not being annoyed at all by my indecisiveness. He then took apart the barbecue for me, put it on a flat cart and helped me play Tetris in my car to fit it all in so I can have it today. He then helped me pick out tools for the barbecue, propane tank, and looked at options for barbecue covers. The whole time he was extremely helpful, so nice and made me feel comfortable. I definitely am going to come back and say hi to Jacob, and thank him again with my husband for helping me pull off this awesome surprise!

I ordered a Wix oil filter online, and it arrived at the Sports Arena store about 10 days later. I picked up from the locker inside the store. When I got home, I noticed it was the wrong filter. I think I am better off just going to an auto parts store.

Great place to pick up anything I need for any project I’m working on. The staff is always very helpful and super friendly. Highly recommend to family and friends only Home Depot I ever shop at.

We liked the service and would recommend them to everyone.

Self serve check outs, I am not paid there for doing that job, so those suits and ties can save money on workers and get end of the year bonus 51 million instead 50. And I do have to rate them with at least a star. They do not deserve any star. But, fortunately, there is still competition in our town.

We always get good service/good vibes at this Sports Arena store in Point Loma, but we got EXCEPTIONAL help from Mauricio on January 4, 2025, when looking to purchase a washer/dryer set. He gave us his undivided time and attention; and I noticed that all the employees we walked by would look at us in our faces and say "Hello. Can I help you?" It was very nice. We ended up making a few purchases to include a new washer/dryer. This is a great store.

Home Depot has an awesome app to locate products within the store. Fire all employees, except for in paint and at checkout, and lower profit margins. Too many non essential employees eating up profits and prices are too high.

If you are looking for washer/drier and/or stove ask for SHARON to help you. She is great! Made my choices based in her help to meet my needs.

Friendly helpful staff

Can not get help loading bark dust. I am 73 year old. Talked to managers that could care less about their customers. This store needs some serious customer service training

Mary Margaret helped me with the order for my semi-custom bathroom vanity. I have an awkward space to fit. After placing an order I got an update from my contractor. I had to cancel my order and place a new order. Mary Margaret made it happen. I'm looking forward to receiving my new vanity next month.

Tried to find seasonal bulbs. Had to ask cashier. She said stupids arrange dept. Bad to hide bulbs. Suppose to be impulse buy like in other nurseries as you check out. I had to ask & barely got my cart around blocked aisle

Mark Nunn, Flooring Specialist, provided so much help in selecting the flooring, vanities, faucets, and other important items for my remodel. He made sure I ordered everything my contractors would need - items I would have never thought of! What a value asset for Home Depot and their customers.

The employees at this store don’t know or care about customer service or the products they carry, I blame this on management and corporate. The long lines to force customers to self checkout by eliminating cashier jobs so Home Depot can make more on the bottom line is unacceptable and shows they don’t care about their customers or community. I’ll shop at ACE where I am valued as a customer and I’m not forced to perform cashier duties!

I went to the Sports Arena Home Depot with a wood shelf that I needed 4 of them replaced. I was uncertain if Home Depot would cut a piece of plywood into the 4 shelves I needed. The employee in the Lumber section, helped me pick out the plywood, measured and cut the sheet into the sizes I needed. There was no additional charge for this. It was a great experience. I wish I had gotten his name.

I don’t want to have to work when I shop. Please go back to cashiers. If not can you give me directions to Loews

The consistency is not always 100%,but all things considered HD is good. I have been going there for 40 years or whenever it was HD started. One can usually find someone who can direct me to what I need or what I am looking for. It is convenient in that way. Most of the employees are on top of it. I have been a California Contractor for over 40 years. HD has been pretty good through that period which is why I keep going back.

Your man at check out helped me with self checkout. I could not get military discount to work. He fixed it for me.

3 self checkouts and 6 people working them. None would help me. To busy talking. Terrible service and checkout system is a wreck.

Items well stocked, friendly help, overall enjoyable visit

I try not to shop at this location due to agressuve homeless in the parking lot and in the store.

A great vibe in this store and not only does it have everything you could ever possibly need for DIY home improvement, but such a knowledgable, friendly, helpful staff to boot. I always look forward to the trip knowing my business is appreciated and my questions aren’t stupid (even if they are:)

A Home Depot staff named Danni went above and beyond to ensure that I had the best experience. She was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and was able to assist me with every question I had.
