When it's time to make the leap into a major home improvement project, you might not have everything you need in your shed or workshop. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Sugar Land Tool Rental Center.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental options enlarge your toolbelt with the exact tools you need to complete your project. It's impractical to invest in a specialty tool when you're only using it once in a while. When you're in the market for a new tool, give it a spin first before you choose which one to purchase. Whatever your situation, we have just what you're looking for.
Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Ladders
Make the most of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get professional coverage fast and renew surfaces. Scaffolding rentals help you reach elevated places when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry extension ladders and step ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're ready to get that job done.
Rent Floor Sanders, Post Hole Diggers, Shop Vacuums, and More
Tackle serious jobs with serious power tool rentals. Use a rental tiller to get your garden bed ready for planting or ensure fresh sod lays just right with a sod cutter rental. Construct a new fence around your pool or property faster with a post hole digger rental, then use other concrete tools that suit the job at hand.
Rental Trucks
To meet your transport needs, we keep cargo vans as well as Penske moving trucks on hand — with availability varying by store. Choose the correct size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for DIY jobs, it's smart to make us your source for moving and transport as well.
To get tools and transportation for your moving or DIY project, check out The Home Depot Sugar Land Tool and Truck Rental Center. Having the right tools for the job is important, so let us help. We're here to help you complete that DIY project.
How do I rent tools and trucks?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools or trucks you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You can also check out our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your store. For more information on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
How long can I rent tools?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I bring the tools back?
You can return the tools early if you complete your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any grime and dust from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the documentation before you decide on a vehicle.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
