Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.
Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This has helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store saved on energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like wind and solar.

When are Home Depot Spring Deals available in 2025?
Enjoy some of the top bargains of the season with our Spring Deals. New tools help take care of that to-do list as the weather brings sunny cheer. It's also a good time for setting up new appliances, starting lawn and garden work outdoors, and cleaning indoors. Don't forget to replace your outdoor power equipment as well. Get it all done when you save during our Spring Deals sale, which runs only from April 24th through May 7th. Don't miss out on these savings.
Do you offer specialty moving boxes?
Make your move easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you need, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion any and all items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it there safely. Don't forget to check out our moving truck rentals if you need those, too.
Do I need a generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared for any circumstances life throws at you. Whether dealing with hurricanes, tornados, or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements knock it out. When exploring different generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.
Why should I repair my roof before spring severe weather arrives?
Make sure your home is ready for spring temperature swings by replacing any broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in any crevices, you could be in for a real headache. On the outside of your home, examine metal roofing panels or shingles for rust or damage that could let water in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams if you're still prone to ice storms and snow. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be swapped out if in poor condition.
Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window or peephole when you can see animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, which is useful to scare off wannabe porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed and worry less with more control.
