The transformation of the Garwood HD over the recent years is remarkable. EVERYONE is friendly, willing to assist, to lift and lug, and to spend time explaining thoroughly. Nothing but pleasant experiences. It's not forced, fake, or insincere. I hate hardware stores, but I enjoy shopping at Garwood HD.

Was greeted as I walked in and associate immediately guided me to products I ask for.

When I called the store, Scott checked and said the item I was looking for was in stock. We went to the store to check out the mower and Latisha was so helpful. She even checked the reviews for us. Her friendly attitude made it a pleasure to make the purchase. She found another associate to bring the huge box to a cashier. Marylin was also so friendly and helpful in opening up a line of credit, so we could take advantage of the 10% discount. Then, Brian, who had helped us with a prior purchase, loaded the heavy large box into our suv. He refused a tip and said it was not allowed and suggested we could donate to a charity. It's hard to find friendly helpful employees these days and to have 3 for 1 purchase made the experience a good one. Good job to all involved and to the store manager of Garwood, NJ. I will return and recommend to friends, based on the merchandise and most important, the great service staff. Our new EGO mower did a fine job cutting our yard. So glad to find a powerful easy to store cordless battery powered lawn mower.

The store associates in the Appliance area were extremely helpful. Shout out to Liz and Yolanda. They answered all my questions, accessed the website to give me a greater selection of products, compared gas dryer models for me, informed me of applicable rebates and energy efficiency, and called the delivery company and resolved issues that they discovered during the checkout process. They did not rush me as I selected my new gas dryer ( excellent selection of dryers at great prices) I appreciate how helpful and pleasant the store associates are and ALWAYS visit this store before I go to any other store. The store is a little small but the staff's helpfulness and knowledge makes up for the smallness of the store.

For quick pickups on weekend projects, this store is great. I usually just order items online and have them dropped at store for local pickup.

My opinion of Stacey from Lighting and Patricia, the helpful cashier was stated earlier in the survey. It was necessary for me to exchange one fixture and the young lady at the desk was equally helpful and pleasant to deal with. My reason for loyalty is based on years of experience i.e. complete overhaul of inside the house. The representatives we dealt with have been well-informed and helpful so that we didn't make mistakes. You have supplied my spring flowers for years.

Our bedroom air conditioner failed. We had our eye on one model and visited a couple of other stores that carried that brand. Terrible service and in fact we walked out of one store and then went over to our local Home Depot. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. The staff found the one we wanted, after some searching (stuck away on a top shelf - someone had purchased a number of the brand we wanted earlier) and gave us excellent service at check out (we wanted assistance in installing - my wife feels I'm too old to do it myself). BRAVO Home Depot

i was buying plants in the partially enclosed portion of the store and was in a short line at the cashier when a young male employee came over to me and also to the person in front of me and offered us boxes for our plants so we could easily put them in our car and they would not be falling around in the car. He voluntarily did this with a smile and was courteous and polite, as well as enthusiastic about his work. I have found this with all the sales associates in Garwood; when you ask for something, they walk you right to the spot and show you the item unlike in other stores where they mumble with indifference, "It's over there.:" Service like this man and others before him, have provided in Garwood make a customer want to return to the store.

We were looking for a new grill and were confused by the vast variety of models and prices. The associate spent as much time with us as we needed which was quite a bit. He answered all of our questions and gave us suggestions when we asked for them. We were extremely pleased with our visit and we purchased the grill that we decided on.

Store Associate, Atonya, was very helpful assisting me to locate my purchases. She also took rug shampooer to car and placed it inside. Very impressed with her.

Excellent store which carries almost everything needed with friendly and helpful staff.

Antoinette, Liliana and Kyre all went out of their was to help my find some light bulbs and help me check out when a lane was closed. All were super friendly and went above and beyond. Friendliest Home Depot I've ever been to. Associates literally waved goodbye in the parking lot as I passed them in my car on the way out. This location doesn't seem as up to date in regards to the appearance of the actual store (i.e. outdated tiles) as the other locations I've been to, but it actually adds to the charm of the overly nice employees. They directed my immediately to a nice selection of portable air conditioners & walked me through the specs of what is appropriate to the space I'm trying to cool. 4/5 would utilize this location again.

I am a female and always appreciate when I am offered assistance with heavy items. I find the associates at this store very friendly, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. I tried to offer a tip once and they refused, even though they went beyond their duties to help load my car. It's not often that we see that kind of customer service, so it is much appreciated. I've always had no problems finding assistance when I go to the Garwood store. THANK YOU!!!!

Fast and friendly service. Aisles are neat and clean. Greeted at front of store quickly. Easy to find what I was looking for.

As a novice in all aspects of home improvement I am so grateful for the help of the associates of the Garwood store. Every time I have a project to do the associates show me which products to use, how to use them, and give such helpful advice that I find I can do so many projects that I never thought I could do on my own.

AS SOON AS YOU WALK IN THE DOOR SOMEONE GREETS YOU,AND OFFERS HELP. THEY ALWAYS POINT YOU IN THE DIRECTION OF WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR. THAT EXTRA HOSPITALITY I THINK CAUSES MANY PEOPLE TO RETURN TO THE STORE.

The size of this store fits my ability to browse the aisles without being overwelmed. The associates are most of the time available for the customers, are friendly and willing to help. I'd rather go to this store than to a bigger home depot except, for example, for construction materials. But in the other stores I usually feel like the associates are trying to hide but to help customers. The Garwood store is really my favorite HD store.
