Tool Rental
Using The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in W Central Las Vegas helps you handle more complex DIY projects. You won't be limited by only what you have on hand or have to settle for untrustworthy hand-me-down tools. Complete your project confidently and safely by renting quality tools. If your local store doesn't have the tool you need in stock, it might be available at another store within driving distance.
Make Painting Easier with Paint Sprayers and Rental Scaffolding
Make the most of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get optimal coverage fast and renew surfaces. Rent scaffolding and ladders to reach high locations when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry step ladders and extension ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when inspiration strikes.
Tame the Bushes and Lawn Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw rental, and the driveway and sidewalks with a pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be ready for new spring flowers in no time.
Rental Trucks
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep pickup trucks and cargo vans ready for rental — with availability varying by store. We also offer Penske moving trucks ranging from 12-foot to 26-foot lengths at certain stores. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for DIY projects, storage needs, and packing, it's smart to make us your source for moving and transport as well.
Large Equipment Rentals
Complete massive projects with pro equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job yourself. From the boom and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini skid steers capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we've got in stock.
Although we're calling out specific tool, truck, and large equipment rentals, our rental center may not have everything on hand for your required time frame. If you've got a particular truck in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.
How do I rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a truck?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see which tools or trucks you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck, tool, or large equipment. You can also check out our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is in stock at your favorite store. For more info on renting tools or large equipment, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.
How long can I rent tools or large equipment?
You can rent large equipment or tools for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a short rental period, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent large equipment and tools by the month, day, or week, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
You can return the tools early if you complete your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a cargo van, box truck, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Be sure to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before choosing your truck.
Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Note the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent large equipment or a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Large equipment or select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.
How do I receive my large equipment rental?
Depending on your location, you can get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for an affordable rate — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented large equipment. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.
What are some ways to avoid extra fees and penalties on rented large equipment?
Think of your large equipment rentals as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and you obey traffic laws. Read the operator's manual so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get charged a late fee.
