I have been shopping at this particular Home Depot for almost 30 years. The staff is great. treasure hunt is absolutely awesome. They have items on sale throughout the store so I rarely leave without buying anything. But most likely I’ll leave with more things that I had on my list. Most of the times they have things well stocked. But even if they don’t, they’re very helpful and will get them for you. Just look at these deals !!!

My husband and I love going to The Home Depot in Waterford, CT, it's the only store that doesn't seem to be affected by the inflation problems, very bright lighted, lovely flow of natural air throughout the store, many different item logos and various affordable prices on items, more items to choose from, very huge store with everything you would need for your home, not lacking items because of inflation, doesn't look like it would be closing anytime soon like many other stores, doesn't lack in generosity of items and environment conditions, cool breeze in store and plenty of lighting and friendly workers.

Purchased walking stones for my new pathway. Will be putting them flush to the ground soon.

I asked a cashier if they could help me get someone to maybe look for something I couldn't see, she turns around and asks another lady to help me find something, the lady took 5 steps and pointed and said go to that isle and look for it there and sat back down. which I have already done for 30 mins so that was that. Most of the staff when being asked for help have attitudes. I had an employee sigh when I asked for help and was told if I did not see it in the isle then it would most likely not be there. He also said that they are short staffed and it was getting late in the day so nobody is going to go in the back to check if they had what I needed when in fact online stated they had 140 items. This is the 2nd encounter I've had like this when shopping there.

Bought a washer and dryer from Mount Bell when they delivered it, I paid for them to install it. The man says they do not install. The dryer was broken when I called Home Depot. They said call the manufacturer not their problem pretty much it was repaired but the attitude of the man at the Wallingford store was atrocious. Do not buy any appliances from Home Depot. They do not cover them or stand behind them.

The individuals at Home Depot were very busy, they were short staffed and doing the best they could.

I don’t know who does the hiring at the Waterford Home Depot, but that person is an expert at finding the friendliest and most helpful people available. I have never walked in to that store without friendly greetings and offers to help me find what I’m looking for. Special acknowledgment for Shane, who works at the customer service counter. That is not an easy job (I certainly could not do it) and every time I need his assistance, Shane performs that job like I am personally paying him out of my own pocket. That man is an asset to his company.

I am always amazed how few sales people are around when I shop at Home Depot. It is very hard to get help when I need it.

I had a gift card issue at the waterford Store and the clerk wanted me to start using apple pay and didnt care about my $50 gift card that didnt work. So much for Pro Services level of support.

Avoid this store for large projects. I ordered a custom window that arrived broken, had to be replaced by the factory, and was still over a month late. The final window didn’t even match my specifications—it’s smaller, blocks light, and completely ruined my remodel. Every department, from Millwork to Customer Service, dodged responsibility, leaving me extremely disappointed. Fine for small purchases, but for big projects, there’s no accountability here.

Horrible time trying to find help, but that’s nothing new since COVID, you have to seek out help and that should not be the case. Disappointed in a delivery that I had and also was notified after paying for new kitchen cabinets and countertops in full that the countertops would cost $200 more after the template was made with little to no explanation. My cabinetry is installed and beautiful but the lead time is way too long for laminate countertops.

I asked an employee where the screen door handles were located. He said the isle with locksets. I said are you sure. He said yes. Long story short don’t ask. Just use the app to find things in the store.

I came to ask electrical questions for work I needed to do at home. Spoke with Bob who could not have been more helpful and friendly. If Home Depot could clone him, your stock would go through the roof. If you need electrical help; ask for Bob! Thank you for your help Bob!

I went to this store to buy the vinyl fences for my house, I needed help to find the parts and accessories, I was from side to side in the store asking to employees walking around and no body helped me, went to the customer service and they were busy and I was ignored, went to the other desk on the pro side, and stud there for 45 minutes and no body helps, than an employee send me to the back of the store where the doors are, there is another desk there, I sat there for 20 minutes and no body came and other employees were talking and laughing like 20 ft from me, I got tired after 2 hours and gave up, I went home, I’ll go to a different store next time

When needing help to purchase a Weber Grill, Rich and Ollie were both a great help assisting me in the purchase the grill and cover. It was delivered promptly this morning. An excellent experience.

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by the Home Depot Associate Junior, this evening. He was one of four associates I encountered, but he stood out above them all. He was professional, courteous, and he went above and beyond to meet our shopping needs. I was shocked when without prompting, Junior offered to help my son and I as soon as we stepped into the garden area; that has never happened to me before. His customer service skills were so exceptional that my 11 year old son was impressed and decided to name the plant he purchased “Junior”.

I found everything I needed for my home project! I was also able to use a $25.00 coupon off my total purchase.

I went to Home Depot to tag along with my mother, aunt, and sister - they were looking for plants to buy. I just bought 2 gifts cards for them to use it for their items. I didn’t interact much with the staff, but they were pleasant & approachable. The store also seemed clean, and I noticed a few sales in the plant section. I didn’t walk around much, so I can’t speak for the rest of the store. No complaints for today though!

My husband and I were trying to figure out the shelving for a few closets. After several visits there and coming home with nothing, this visit was a huge success! We were helped by David and Robert. They were great!!! They knew just what we needed for all the parts of our project. They cut the wire shelving for us and gave us ideas that were great! After Robert's shift was over, David continued to help us in other areas of the store. He knew where everything was, and was able to guide us on the best choice for our project. We Will definitely look for them in the future!!

I have done 2 bathroom remodels this past year as well as a couple other small projects! This store had everything I needed from materials tools cabinets and plumbing!!! Great to have a good store with a good selection!!

Amber at customer service went above and beyond to ensure I received the assistance necessary throughout a situation. Her knowledge, patience and pleasant nature made the experience a very positive one. Everyone working throughout the store on an early Sunday morning were very helpful. This store always has ample inventory and worth a visit as the staff makes it a pleasant shopping experience.

Jeff R. and Tom F. were responsible for my exceptional experience at home depot today. I believe the customer service, expertise and knowledge these men provide to Home Depot make the store an exponentially better place. Jeff R ensured i was able to find what i was looking for while providing context and insight to better help myself next time around. while also giving another employee the same insight to assist the next customer. Tom F. at customer service made the process of my employer paying over-the-phone, smooth and quick.

I used Home Depot Waterford for a recent project and the service provided by the Pro Team representative as well as department individuals was exceptional. The representative ensured issues were resolved in a timely manner and provided support throughout every step.

Great place to shop. The store personnel are very friendly and helpful. In my case they worked with me to help get an item at a sale price that I had seen posted a few days earlier but was no longer advertised as being on sale. All the people that helped me were always professional and super nice.
