We bought a 500 pound gun safe from West Hills Home Depot. They sent a single individual on a semi to deliver and move the safe. The safe went flying off the back of the semi and someone could have been killed or severely injured. I would avoid major purchases with Home Depot (not to mention the war zone most Home Depot parking lots have become.)

As Home Depot stores go, the West Hills is a relatively good store. Parking is always easy, carts are always available and staff, when you find them are normally helpful. Inventory is usually reasonable good, though finding specific products is often frustrating being Home Depot less consistency in floor plans than would be ideal, though this is understandable being stores vary in their foot prints. My biggest complaint is a function of contemporary retailing, less staff more stuff. Results are obvious, more wandering through store for specific items. Additionally, often items are available, simply not on the shelf, but in overhead storage and obtaining them is time consuming. Once again staffing.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator Order #: H1070-507010 Order Date: May 23, 2025. The woman that assisted me was very friendly and knowledgeable.

I shop at the West Hills Home Depot often. Its well stocked and if I cant find what I’m looking for, there is always someone nearby to help. Other stores are not as helpful.

Going to Home Depot I always know someone will help me find what I am looking for and answer any questions I have.

I saw that they had close to 100 pieces of corrugated roofing. When I went to the store they had only one. An employee confirmed that there should be 98 panels. He didn't really know where to look for them, but he tried, and ultimately gave up. I had to go to another store. It's gotten to be that when you go to any Home Depot, you can't always count on the employees to help you.

Recently needed help with plant selections that were some tolerant. A Knowledgeable employee was called to help me, and I made some excellent selections. They are all in the ground and thriving! I also needed help at the paint counter. Again, knowledgeable employees were able to assist me with my paint selection in order. Everything was done in a very timely manner. I am one happy weekend warrior!

Need to have more representatives on the store floor where people always need some kind of assistance or support to find or ask questions. And self check out way too many representatives

Our recent trip to Home Depot was a wild ride. We were purchasing a lot of appliances and had several special requests, so a manager was needed to assist with the transaction. Truthfully, we waited for about 25 minutes and were passed between three different associates before we finally got to speak with a manager. At that point, we were pretty frustrated. Enter Daniel — and everything changed. Daniel immediately alleviated our stress with his calm, kind, and patient approach. Our order was complex: it involved moving certain items around, charging two different cards, and applying manufacturer-advertised discounts. It was no small task, but Daniel handled it all with professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care. He spent time with us to make sure we were getting the best appliances at the best value, and we truly appreciated the effort he put into helping us. What really stood out was how busy Daniel clearly was — constantly being approached and contacted by others — yet he remained composed, friendly, and helpful to everyone. It was evident that he’s both well-liked and respected by his team. We could see the camaraderie and light-hearted banter between him and the staff, and it was refreshing to see a manager who could be both professional and personable. Thanks to Daniel, we will absolutely continue shopping at this Home Depot. He completely turned around our experience and made what could’ve been a stressful day into a positive and memorable one. I shop at the West Hills, CA, HD. Many items are not put in the right spot, so when you check out, your are not paying for the right item. When I let management know, I usually get brushed off. When I have a question, many times the employees are on their phone, going to lunch, its not their department, they are stocking in an isle but know nothing about electricity, I shop there but really have to know more than the employees, because many don't know anything. Its very frustrating.

Store manager Lisa was very responsive to a question I had. Took time to talk to me.

I live very close to the Canoga Park store. I prefer to drive to the West Hills store to shop. WH is much cleaner, well stocked, friendlier and helpful. + no pesky, over priced Labors hassling you and jumping on my truck. ++ nice Rental Equipment, although, Woodland Hills is very good also.

Kamran is the best and the most knowledgeable person at Home Depot. If you need a window and/or door he's gonna make sure you go home happy

I don’t expect a contractors level of knowledge but some basic input on how to proceed or recommendations in a particular area of work would be very very helpful. Some of the day laborers standing outside looking for work have more expertise to offer than the jokers wearing a Home Depot apron.

bought a water heater. they said it Included delivery and installation, but I had to haul it away myself.. Im good with that. I called the next day for delivery and they told me it would be $1000 for installation. I cancelled the order. I go to HD a lot Ill never buy and appliance there again, lost a day trying to get a refund after the misrepresentation of the product/service. very disappointed and had to make other arrangements wasted a full day. still waiting on the refund

the employees know nothing qabout the installation or delivery and itll cost you a lotof money

I'm coming here a lot and definitely like people working there. Always nice, always friendly, like to smile and joke. And everyone is trying to help. Thank you, I'll come again!

We have been looking at several other stores for our purchase of a home trash compactor, ended up purchasing from Home Depot, because of the price and th supervisor Nancy, very professional and made us feel welcome, answered all our questions without hesitation and was very friendly, her customer service was beyond our expectations, she even checked for other discounts and handed us lollipops while we chatted as the purchasing process was in motion. My wife enjoyed the visit to your store and will come back, hopefully Nancy will be assisting us again. Thank her for us!

The store clerk Greg in appliance was amazing! Unfortunately, the delivery process was poor. The delivery company are liars! They lied and said they attempted to enter my building and call me and they did not. There wasn’t even a notice on the door of this “alleged” attempt! It’s unfortunate because it makes Home Depot look bad!

Line never backed up at this store. Hard workers keep it moving.

Excellent customer service exemplified by Katherine, cashier, Laura, hardware and Fernando C., in gardening. Love coming here because we are treated with respect and the employees here are helpful and knowledgeable.

My shopping was done in 15 minutes due to 3 employees who knew their products had the stock quickly, and introduced me to supporting Ryobi products to enhance my purchase
