When you're beginning to make the leap into a big DIY job, you might not have all the tools you need in the workshop or garage. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot White Settlement Tool Rental Center.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental options enlarge your toolbelt and toolbox with the precise tools you need to complete your DIY project. It's not practical to purchase a specialized tool when you're rarely reaching for it. When you're searching for a new tool, do a trial run before you decide which to purchase. Whatever your situation, we have the power tools you're looking for.
Rent Shop Vacs, Floor Sanders, and Post Hole Diggers
Tackle major projects with reliable power tool rentals. Get your garden bed ready for spring with a tiller rental or ensure fresh sod lays just right with a sod cutter. Construct a new fence around your home more efficiently with a post hole digger rental, then use other concrete tools that suit your project.
Make Painting Easier with Ladder and Paint Sprayer Rentals
Take advantage of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get optimal coverage fast and renew surfaces. Ladder rentals help you reach elevated locations when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry extension ladders and step ladders for small to medium jobs, so you won't have to wait when inspiration strikes.
Truck and Cargo Van Rentals
To make it easier to transport large tool rentals, we keep trucks of all kinds ready to roll. Although availability varies by store, we've got a selection ranging from cargo vans to flatbed trucks to pickup trucks. Choose the correct size for your project so you can keep your job on track. As your source for packing, DIY projects, and storage needs, it's simple to make us your source for truck rental as well.
Box Truck and Penske Moving Truck Rentals
If it's time to relocate to a new home, let us help with that as well. Explore our rental box trucks. We also offer Penske moving trucks ranging from 12-foot to 26-foot lengths, but as always, availability varies from store to store. Box trucks have different rental requirements and sizes than Penske moving trucks, so check our FAQ or speak to an associate to make sure you find the right rental truck for you.
Large Equipment Rentals
Handle massive projects with professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need. From the boom and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the skid steers capable of hauling materials on outdoor job sites, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore our selection to see what we've got in stock.
Although we're mentioning specific large equipment, tool, and truck rentals, our rental center may not have everything on hand for your required time frame. If you've got a particular piece of equipment in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.
How do I rent a truck, tool, or piece of large equipment?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see which tools or trucks you can rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You may also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is at your store. For more details on renting large equipment or tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
How long can I rent tools or large equipment?
You can rent a tool or large equipment for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a short rental period, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I bring the tools back?
You can return the tools early if you complete your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a few hours?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you must return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the terms and conditions before selecting a vehicle.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you return it. Note the fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck or large equipment?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Select tools as well as large equipment also require ID verification via CLEAR.
How do I get my large equipment rental?
Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered to your job site for a reasonable cost — at your home or out in the field. You'll need to rent it for one day or longer and provide us with 24 hours notice so we can adequately prepare your rented large equipment. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the ideal way to get your large equipment.
How do I avoid penalties and extra fees on my large equipment rentals?
Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure you obey traffic laws and it's parked legally. Read the instructions so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are. If you cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled delivery, you'll pay a cancellation fee. Make sure to return equipment by the deadline or extend the rental period to accommodate the extra time you require.
