Dog and Cat Stopper Animal Repellent, Gallon Ready-to-Use with Nested Sprayer

The product seemed to work , for I had not seen the dog relieving itself on my lawn. But, within weeks of treatment the rodent (dog) was back walking through my lawn as if it contributed to mortgage.

We have sprayed the yard three times.... Hadn't affected the neighbors' dogs at all! They must like the scent. Husband Sprayed at 12:28...By 1:13 the dog walks by where he sprayed with No hesitation!

BACKGROUND: We have two Great Danes, a breed known for their self-will. They like to dig next to the fence in the back yard. We have tried several mechanical methods to stop them but the just dig in a new place. The chance to try out an organic chemical method was too good to pass up. PACKAGING: The liquid repellant is sold in a one-gallon top-handled plastic jug with a nested sprayer. The biggest drawback is the tube from the jug to the sprayer is only a few inches long, too short to use without bending over. It didn’t hurt me while I was spraying it. Pleasant-smelling is a matter of opinion. They say minty. I’m not going to taste it or put it on my skin. • Odor free and can be applied every 30-days, regardless of weather or watering. o As I said before, reminds me a little of cat urine. • Stop most dog and cat breeds from bedding down, spraying and entering plant beds, mulch, lawns and other areas around your home, simply pour into an empty garden spreader (hand held or push) and apply product liberally to dens, tunnels, entries and plants that need protection, when using near edible crops, apply a perimeter application o This statement indicates you can put it in a garden spreader. OPERATION: It comes in a gallon jug with an included narrow and wide pattern trigger sprayer. I sprayed it around our fence where the dogs like to dig. The sprayer has a four-position control valve for off, narrow, off, wide spray patterns; but it is almost impossible to seed the embossed symbols on the valve (see photos.) I applied the spray according to directions and the dogs did not dig in those areas anymore. However, I didn’t see them actively avoiding the areas; and with winter weather they did not roam and play in the backyard as much. SUMMARY: Not completely sure of its effectiveness although the active ingredient is known to be a repellant.

I sprayed the ANIMAL STOPPER Dog and Cat Stopper Animal Repellent, Gallon Ready-To-Use with Nested Sprayer around the front entrance of my office where the stray cats have been urinating. This product worked like a charm. No more stinky smell. Then I tried spraying it on my trash can and the neighbor’s dog actually avoided my can the other night. I saw him on the security camera. He walked to the can and stepped away quickly without even sniffing. What a wonderful product!

It's an animal repellent spray, unfortunately we've had some pretty crappy weather here so I haven't been able to see if it actually works, but just from checking it out it's nice it came with the sprayer, my dog doesn't like to sniff the jug, speaking of smell it honestly has a dog shampoo smell, not a terrible smell but not pleasant either, smell is more like a dog shampoo with flea control

We have a blind brain-damaged cat we rescued as an orphan feral kitten. She and another rescued orphan have two litter boxes to use. For whatever reason, she sometimes leaves a "present" on the floor (litter boxes are cleaned twice daily!). Evidently, once a cat does this, the scent is a siren call for them. I have tried *everything* to remove any lingering "marking": bleach, pine-sol, peroxide, orange cleaner. Nothing works! So I got the Dog & Cat Stopper out of desperation. It's been a week since there was a nasty "present"! Woohoo! The jug is unique in that the sprayer attachment fits snugly under the handle when not in use. And the sprayer has a short hose which connects to a longer hose inside the jug cap. These make the sprayer attachment so easy to store! Warning: last pic is what the little blind cat has gifted me.

The ANIMAL STOPPER - ANIMAL STOPPER Dog and Cat Stopper Animal Repellent, Gallon Ready-To-Use with Nested Sprayer is a great product to stop Fido from ruining your garden. We use this product to stop our neighbor's cat from using our backyard as a giant litter box. The product is very easy to use with the nested sprayer to spray the outside perimeter of your yard to prevent a dog or cat from using that area of the yard. You can reapply the product quite easily and it does last for 30 plus days.

This is a great idea. I could really use something like this to deter stray cats and dogs from my yard. It is really hard to tell if the product is working or not. Perhaps over a long period of time I could tell better how well it works. I feel like it may work somewhat for cats and smaller animals. I’m not so sure about dogs and faster moving animals. So I sprayed it on the fence line and in front of the gate where I feel cats are coming into my backyard. I also sprayer it along my walkway and front porch where cats come and hang out at night while we are sleeping. I think it is working, at least for the first week or so. It has a strong citrus smell that seemed to last even for me for at least four days. However, when my daughter stopped by with her dog on a leash, she (the dog) walked right over the sprayed area without hesitation. I’m not saying she didn’t smell it, but it didn’t seem to deter her from coming to the front door. I’m not sure what the solution is, I sprayed a good amount. I guess I could spray more. I would not want a product so strong that it deterred human guests. It came with a squeeze sprayer but it took a lot of squeezes to cover the area I wanted. So I put the product in a small garden sprayer. That was soooo much easier to spray a larger area. Time will tell how well and long this works.

I've had issues with neighborhood cats using the mulched area near the front of my house as their litter box. I've used other products that have kept them away for a while but lately dogs have been sniffing around the area and relieving themselves there from time to time. This product seems to be keeping both away. It's been a couple of weeks and I haven't seen the area in front of my house disturbed or any waste found. The product actually smells pleasant, like citronella. One word of advice is to wear gloves when you initially get the jug set up and insert the the pump handle line into the area on the cap. I accidentally had some splash up and my hands smelled like citronella for half a day even after washing my hands a few times. I guess that's why it seems to last a while after application.
