Are there any issues with plugging the power adapter into a covered outdoor surface mounted outlet box (Arlington)? It looks a bit large to fit completely inside the box to retain its UL outdoor use rating.

Can you turn the lights off separate from the pump? Is it possible not to install the lights at all?
This comes with lights. You can't plug in the transformer for the lights and you can then not have the lights work while the fountain continues to work. So yes you can use without lights.
what is the color of the lights? a warm white (yellowish in color), soft white(neutral or slightly yellow), or a cool white (slightly blue)

What is the model/output of Alpine pump with this unit? This will allow me to determine if a Solar compatible pump with similar output could be retrofitted to replace electric pump.
