Can this be installed in an 8'x8' room with NO additional pieces? It says it fits 64sq ft but the main beams are only 6' long and won't reach the walls on either side. If it can fit an 8x8 room, how does one go about installing it with what is in the box?
Essentially, cut one main in half and connect each half to one full length piece. That gives you 2 pieces 9 feet long. Trim to fit!
Hi Robin. The Quick Hang grid kits have 6ft mains. You would need to snap 2 mains together and cut the ends to fit the 8ft length. Additional material would be needed to install your panels properly.
what if my ceiling is larger than64 sq ft? do I have to buy 2 kits?

I like the quick hang system, however the wires are only 12 inches. I am having to hang a drop ceiling with AC runs above the drop down. Is there longer wires, like 18" which would be what I need. If Not can I purchase wire and make my on hanger wires?
Hello there, You can get the 7891 12' hanger wired with the WS12 which id for splicing 12-gauge hanger wire; recommended for renovation applications; provides easy adjustment of ceiling height. This would be next best option for dropping to the desired height.

Hello there, The quickhang is designed to be attached to structure and they slide over joists, if this currently does not offer access to the floor joists I would recommend the hanger wire method in lieu of the quickhang.
How can you install 64 sq. ft. of ceiling, with only 30 ft of wall moldings? It says "everything you need to install 64 sq. ft. of 2 ft. x 2 ft. drop ceiling panels". But if you wanted to make an 8 ft. by 8 ft. ceiling, you'd need 32 ft of wall moldings
2x2 is 4sqft, 64/4 is 16. So…
Hello there, There will be 6 72" wall moldings which would be 36' of wall molding which would be slighly more then cover the 64 sq ft of space. If need be there is always additional wall molding that can be purchased as well.
