The dimensions presented in the title of the product represent the footprint space you'll need for either your flooring or threshold. We are building a shower that can be anywhere from 36”-40” on one side and 32”-34” on the other side. The door needs to be on the 32-34” side: will this work for those measurements?

The measurements in the description (W x L) represent the corner alcove space, curb build or base dimensions required for this unit. We typically recommend not using any existing bases with a brand new frameless shower. Typically custom bases or curbs are required with our luxury enclosures. Please consult your trusted local contractor as to what is best for your space, especially because professional installation is typically required with at least two adults due to the heavy nature of the tempered glass and any adjustability processes, Do not DIY this yourself. For larger luxury enclosures, like your new 66 in. x 38 in. x 72 in. model, you have the option of installing the low profile support bar due to the size of the fixed panels. If you choose to leave the support bar out, as shown in the image, please double enforce the fixed panel joints with clear silicone caulk. Either will work. If you are referring to to the product page details, the model fits your finished corner alcove space 35.25 in. to 36.25 in. W x 36.375 in. D x 72 H, and the individual panels are glass door: 22 in., fixed panel: 14 in. (36 in w) & return panel: 36 in. The walk through width of the hinge door is 19 5/8 in. to 20 5/8 in. On this page, you can click the 'Specification' link in the 'Product Details' tab to view the exact measurements of this unit. We can not find anything mentioning 40 in.
