I bought this shade already and want to cut on the side to fit a narrower window. Can I take it to Home Depot store and have it cut by their blind cutter?
Hello, making any changes to the product will void the manufacturer's warranty. We strongly advise against cutting the shade, as this can damage the internal lifting mechanisms and make the product unusable.
My window measures 30 1/2. What size should I order
Hello, for a window of 30 1/2 inch width, you can order the 30 inch width shade. This will give you a 1/4 inch allowance on each side of the shade. Please do measure your window width at the top, center, and bottom, and use the narrowest width. This will help ensure the shade will fit perfectly in your window opening. As for the height of the shade, if your window opening is less than 48 inches long, order the 48 inch height. For windows between 48 and 72 inches long, order the 72 inch height. You can simply pull the shade to the desired height, no need to order the exact height.
Will this shade block make a roo. Completely dark at night?
Yes the blackout shade will completely block any light going in and out of a room.
Are these shades installed with hardware or do they stick on? The inside of my window is 31" wide, would I order a 30.5" shade? Is the top of the shade where it mounts the same width as the shade?
Yes the shades use mounting brackets for installation. Yes for an inside mount you would order half an inch smaller than the length of your window for a snug fit.
