Customers say the hardwood flooring offers beautiful wood grain coloring and a variety of tones that enhance the aesthetic of their homes. Many appreciate the quality and thickness of the wood, noting that it is easy to install and looks elegant once laid. However, some customers experienced issues with damaged boards upon delivery and inconsistencies in board widths, which affected the installation process. Overall, the product is well-received for its appearance and quality, though customers recommend ordering extra to account for potential damages.
Boards with imperfections on the backs of the boards such as the ones shown on the right are OK to install as long as the tongue can be nailed. Boards may be cut and used on the ends of rows also. The two left photos appear to show the front and back of the same board that features excessive bark, not rot. It would not be recommended to install this particular plank. The planks are manufactured and visually verified with the faces up. Since this flaw was not as obvious from the front, it was not culled out.
It is customary for all flooring projects to purchase 10% extra to allow for cuts, etc. This is especially important when installing natural products so that any boards with undesirable features can be culled out.
