About This Product

The unsurpassed quality of our Blue Ridge Wide Plank Castlebury White Oak Natural Eurosawn Textured Solid Hardwood Flooring is achieved by hand-selecting only the finest pieces of sustainably harvested Appalachian Oak. This exquisite hardwood flooring is crafted using traditional Northern European methods that expose the heart of the timber and reveal a tighter and more consistent wood grain pattern. The textured, brushed wide planks feature natural variations such as knots and mineral streaks to give the flooring a rustic, yet refined feel. Its timeless beauty is protected by a moisture-resistant, low-gloss aluminum oxide finish that is 10 times stronger than traditional urethane finishes. This premium flooring boasts a lifetime finish warranty, and the wood planks will last for the lifetime of your home. Solid hardwood can be recoated or stained another color in the future, making it a wise investment for your home and the environment. This product is FloorScore certified, which is the most recognized indoor air quality certification for hard surface flooring materials. 4 in. width is also available in this finish, see item # 313136477.

Summarized by generative AI from text of customer reviews

Many appreciate the quality and thickness of the wood, noting that it is easy to install and looks elegant once laid. However, some customers experienced issues with damaged boards upon delivery and inconsistencies in board widths, which affected the installation process. Overall, the product is well-received for its appearance and quality, though customers recommend ordering extra to account for potential damages.

I understand that hardwoods look different in person vs in photos however this one looks NOTHING like the photo online. They ruined these floors with the awful finish!!!! The crevices are white. I am so disappointed. I returned all 55 cases. Don’t buy unless you see it first. I will never order from Home Depot online EVER AGAIN. Horrible customer service and wait times.

Bad quality - Rotten HardwooD Pieces
I had ordered 18 cases. Out of 18, almost 5 cases are too bad to be used. Uneven cuts, poor quality, rotten wood. I am very disappointed. I have to halt my flooring work as the ordered wood would not cover my square footage. There is no regard for customer time and money he has invested.

Response from Flooring ManufacturerFeb 18, 2020
Thank you for taking the time to post your concerns. Every plank in a real solid hardwood floor is going to be unique. This particular floor is meant to be old world rustic and as many knots, filled cracks, worm holes, etc. as possible are intentionally left in this floor to create this popular visual. These features are not filled or fixed on the backs of the boards.

Boards with imperfections on the backs of the boards such as the ones shown on the right are OK to install as long as the tongue can be nailed. Boards may be cut and used on the ends of rows also. The two left photos appear to show the front and back of the same board that features excessive bark, not rot. It would not be recommended to install this particular plank. The planks are manufactured and visually verified with the faces up. Since this flaw was not as obvious from the front, it was not culled out.

It is customary for all flooring projects to purchase 10% extra to allow for cuts, etc. This is especially important when installing natural products so that any boards with undesirable features can be culled out. This review is for the Wimborne Eurosawn White Oak. Absolutely Beautiful floors that compliment our decor. The pictures from Home Depot website are actually very close to accurate. There are many boards that show the natural beauty of the wood grain and knots. Very happy with our floors and decision to buy our floors from home-depot. We recommend these floors. Check out the attached pictures.

                      Great Floors
Overall very pleased with the floor - quality, color, and pre-finished. HD did a nice job and would use them again for jobs.

Bought 140 sq feet. Had about 10 sq foot of rejects. Very uneven sloppy stain and long boards that weren’t straight causing gaps between rows. Fortunately had enough to finish job to my satisfaction but at a 10 % upcharge because of waste.
