Hi there! For our 36" pan base, the drain center is 8 1/4" from the top edge and 18 1/16" from the right side. Keep in mind that the listed dimensions (like 60" x 36") include the flanges, and there may be up to a 1/8" tolerance due to material properties. You’ll find this and more details in the additional photos on the product page. If you need help, feel free to call us at 844-364-2502—we’re here to help!
Hello and thank you for the question. No particular reason. I believe we use the term interchangeably. The point is that you may use our wall panel or you may choose your own tile of choice (glass, ceramic, porcelain, stone, etc). Many thanks for the question.
Hello! The flange screws included with our pan bases and shower kits are self-tapping which do not require pre-drilling for installation. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We are happy to help! contact@castico-tx.com
Although our pan bases can be trimmed up to 1.5" on each side, trimming down from a 72" to 58-64" would exceed the limit. Cutting over 1.5" from any side will eliminate any threshold. It will cut into the pre-sloped pan design, impacting the water's ability to drain properly. Let us know if you have any questions by reaching out directly to 844-364-2502
There is a roughin spec on homedepot.com for each unit. It is usually the 3rd pic. You may print this pic as well. Many thanks.
Hello Brandon Sure, you may do a narrow side entrance. When you order your base or kit, call us and order an additional long side shower base flange. We have seen the installation completed many times and it looks great. Many thanks Brandon
Hello Andrew. Our pan bases are designed as a finished item with beautiful color and pattern options and non-slip surfaces that replace the need for tile shower floors. We do not recommend tile floors over our pan bases as they may not adhere correctly, can impact pre-sloped design, and affect drainage.
Hello Karen and thank you for the question. First, our product is like a radish. When you cut it, there is a solid white inside. So this would be visible on any side you cut. It sounds like the long side will still be exposed to the front. For you particular install i would cut the 3' of the back / unexposed side. The base has a 2" flat edge all the way around. You may cut more than the recommended up to 2". However now your drain wont be in the cent of the shower but of cent by the amount you cut. If you chose to cut both sides vs one side you may put tile trim pieces or cut tile pieces to cover the exposed edge of the shower base on the front. They be be glued on with construction adhesive or with tile mastic You bath contractor should have no issue cutting. They should use a wet saw to make the cuts. Many thanks
