I assume the light stays on as long as anybody is in the room
Yes, the light will stay on as long as motion is detected. The hold time is adjustable from 2 to 10 minutes, or you can disable the motion sensor altogether. The motion sensor detects heat emitted by infrared energy up to 13 feet away.
