I have a 48" wide x 36" shower base by Dreamline. Is the a Unidoor Plus enclosure that will fit that unit?
We recommend installing the base and then finishing your walls before selecting a size for your Unidoor Plus shower enclosure. Typically, to fit a 36x48" double threshold SlimLine shower base, the matching Unidoor Plus enclosure will have dimensions that are approximately 1-1/2" - 2" smaller on all sides. This is so the glass will fit up onto the base. So, for the 36x48" base, you would be looking for either the 46" or 46-1/2" x 34-3/8" Unidoor Plus enclosure model size. Is there a shower pan or base to match.
Unfortunately, we do not have a shower base to match this shower enclosure. You will need a 36" by 39" double threshold shower base and we do not make one in that size at this time. Will this door open both in and out?
The Unidoor Plus shower enclosure now features adjustable hinges that can be modified to open both inward and outward. The installation manual outlines the installation for the shower door to open outward. If you would like the door to open inward, you will need to reverse the anti water strip that affixes to the stationary panel so that the flange is on the outside of the shower. Hope this helps.
