Will these work with existing cans instaled in ceiling?
This light is designed for retrofit, remodel, or new construction applications. It installs directly into drywall or drop ceilings, so you would not need existing cans. It does not require a separate recessed downlight housing or secondary junction box.
Are they dimmable and if so, which dimmers will provide flicker-free lighting?
The description states in two places that the lumens are 550, and in another, 530. Which is correct?
The product specifications indicate the lumens are 550.
I see where these lamps secure to sheetrock well, but are they suitable to install with a suspended ceiling? (e.g. will they secure properly on an acoustic ceiling tile, or are tiles too thin/weak to hold properly?
