Hi Volute, In order to match the fitting to the correct handrail profile, the second digit of the fitting must match the second digit of the handrail profile. The fitting you will need will be 7735R-000-0000L. You can search this on Home depot by entering this model number.

Does the 6710 8 ft. unfinished red oak stair handrail have any exposed finger joints visible on the rail surface or does it appear to be a solid piece of wood? Is the same true of the 12 ft. rail?
Hi DIYNewbie1, thank you for this question. Our 6710 rails do not come with fingerjoints. In this particular style, there is one "flower joint," our patented joint that mimics the grain of wood, so that it's very difficult to tell where the joint is. In one 16ft stick of rail, there is one flower joint on the top. So you may get a completely joint-free top of rail, while there may be a joint on the side for every 8ft of rail. The same would be true for the 12ft, though the chances of getting a top flower-joint on a 12ft increase due to the length of the rail. I need 2 end pieces that attach to the handrail and that curve into the wall. What are they called and would I need a left and right turning one? Please advise.
Hi MH, the handrail fitting you need is a 7711R Quarter-Turn (SKU#206822591). You would only need two of them to accomplish what you describe. We also suggest you use the Spring Bolt Rail to Rail Kit (SKU#202088525), as this tool makes joining fittings to handrail much easier. Is there a "S" fitting or "offset" fitting offered in this rail profile? The only one I can find is in the basic 6010 profile. Is an S fitting to fit the 6710 profile not made?
Hi Jeremy, we do produce an "S" handrail fitting that matches the 6710 handrail. It will have to be special ordered at the Customer Service Desk within any Home Depot store.
