About This Product

The Eden raised garden able by Riverstone is the ideal vegetable and herb growing system. The system assembles in under 30 minutes with no tools. The unit blends into all environments nicely and can be stained or painted to match any exterior setting including your porch or deck. The elevated growing surface and covering system allow it to accomplish things a standard garden cannot, similar to a greenhouse. The elevation is the perfect height for sitting and gardening, perfect for bad backs. The best and most nutritious vegetables come from warm, rich, weed and pest free soil. The raised garden table's elevated growing surface is always substantially warmer in the spring than the ground level under it. Also, as you fill the raised garden table with rich soil and pure compost, you are maximizing the organic nutrients needed for perfect vegetables. With this system, the soil can be weed free, with no slugs or snails, grubs or weeds, with no need for chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Possibly the best feature is gardening while sitting on a stool or bench. Also included is the optional UV protected covering (RGT-T23) with protective mesh netting to keep insects and rodents out, trap the sun's warmth while allowing air to flow within the garden. This is a great option for your garden which will extend your growing season as well as protect your crops from too much rain, wind, pets and any other animal roaming nearby.

No. The bottom is made of three boards with room for a gap between the boards for drainage.

There is not any wire but the slats of wood act as a drain. We provide a fabric mesh that is used to go on the bottom of the table

as long as the unit is filled to top with soil and you have solid support for the fine they will do well here. I would keep the pruned to allow the netting to cover them to protect fruit from birds.

Soil depth is about 9-10 inches so as long as the plant does not require a greater depth you can. I have used mine every year for tomatoes with great success. Since all plants are different you need to refer to the spacing requirements/recommendations on the plant cards. Personally I plant one on each corner and then low growing vegetables in the middle to avoid dealing with stakes in the center.

The raised bed unit went together well. All the pieces were finished nicely. The only issue, not a serious one, was the cloth meant to fit inside the bottom was too small. Very happy and seeds are coming up!

We purchased two of these beds with enclosures. They are easy to build, but some patients is required to avoid splitting the slots. As you work boards into both legs at once, you must take caution to work both in at the same rate. If you get find one side is much lower than the other as you are working them down and you can't pop the higher side down with your hand, then you need to pull up the lower side a bit. Using a soft-blow hammer on the the higher side will increase the chance you split the wood. One thing to note is that there are different versions of the enclosure. One come in black and haves the zipped openings go up to the point shown in the stock image. That one is nice because you can flip the doors over the top to keep it in place while working. The other version, which is not as nice one, has the opening stop at where you see the horizontal rail in the stock image. That means you'll have to find or make something to keep the doors up for working inside. In both cases, the enclosure extends beyond the side of the bed some rather than stopping at the top as shown in the stock image. Another difference is that in the stock image, the enclosure is flat on top, but both versions we have come to a peak. 4 cu.ft of raised bed soil will fill the bed and leave about 1".
