What is the acoustic rating?
Can these be screwed into wood and act as the ceiling for my basement? Will gravity over time cause the vinyl cladding to separate from the black felt backing?
yes, they can, and won't separate
I want to just have these hanging. Would be sort of like a curtain. To cover a shelf close to my garage ceiling. That I dont use much. Right now we have those cheap bamboo roll up blinds.
This product is designed for interior wall and ceiling applications, not for outdoor use like a garage. It's also intended to be installed more permanently, using nails and glue, rather than hung like a curtain. Therefore, it may not be suitable for your intended purpose.
