Get deeper at bottom to accommodate
Thanks for reaching out. The bottom projection is 1/2" and the top projection is 3-1/2". While we don't have the ability to change the thickness of this particular crosshead, we do have lots of other great options! We'd recommend checking out Model # CRH03X178BE. That particular crosshead is a bit thicker/deeper in bottom projection. Hope one of these works great for you!
Can you order them custom or do you get them larger and cut out the middle

You can search for your size by typing in "Polyurethane Standard Crosshead Moulding" and filtering by width, on the left side. For instance, a 30 inch crosshead is Model # CRHCRH04X36ST-1 and a 6 foot crosshead is CRH04X72ST-1
