Thanks for reaching out. Sure! These are often used with granite, shelving, bar overhangs, and more. These particular brackets need to be installed during or before the installation process. Installation is hassle-free, with the pre-drilled holes. Proper installation would be key, in using them in a load-bearing application. Thanks for reaching out. The Logan Bracket is made of thick, sturdy, 1/4" steel. Due to the shape of this bracket (no brace), it is ideal for hidden installation on countertops, bars, and shelves. For an exterior load-bearing arbor application, we would recommend consulting an on-site contractor or engineer, who can inform you of the right load-bearing product and installation method.
No, they are drilled on one side only.
Thank you for your question. These brackets only have holes on the mounting side and not on the front side. You can feel free to drill additional holes on site if you would like to.
The bracket is 1/4" thick steel and can provide structural support. However, due to the varying aspects and uses of counter top applications, we cannot guarantee that any bracket in our design will carry a specific amount of weight. In addition, there are several other considerations such as the size of the overhang, the thickness and material of the counter top, and the number and spacing of the brackets intended to be used. As a rule of thumb, brackets should be spaced no farther than 16" apart. For stone (or similar) counters that are 2 cm thick or less, the maximum unsupported depth is 10". For stone (or similar) counters that are 3 cm thick or less, the maximum unsupported depth is 6". If your application requires a specific capacity load, we suggest that you consult a design engineer to review your selected bracket and its use in your application.
Yes this type of bracket will work. You would insert the flat bracket under the granite counter top and the top of the surface and screw down.
Hi, thank you for showing interest in our products. I am happy to assist you with any product questions that you might have. The other bracket that you were looking at is in the same collection, but it is a different style and has a different product number, which is why there is a price difference. The model number for the 14' is BKTM03X14LOCRS and the 12' is BKTM03X12LOSS. The reason for this that the 14' is unfinished steel where the 12' is stainless steel, they are different types of metal. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact us directly at sales@ekenamillwork.com and I will get back to you quickly.
