Is the panel leak proof where it meets the wall, if the shower spray hits it directly?

Siliconing your panel is essential as not only does this prevent your panel from leaking water it is also imperative to the integrity and strength of the shower enclosure. Is this glass panel a low iron clear glass or is it a traditional "clear" glass that has a slight greenish tint?
Hello and thank you for your inquiry. All GW glass panels are clear, Premium 3/8 (10mm) thick or 5/16 (8mm) thick ANSI certified tempered safety glass of the highest quality. The only glass that will have no color hues at all will be custom made ‘Low-iron’ glass. All stock panels from any shower door company will not be low-iron as this is a custom made-to-order process making it a more expensive, less accessible product. Glass Warehouse prides itself on providing a high-quality product for a great price. Please note that our panels will have a slight green hue. Is there any adjustibility? My wall is out of plumb, and I want the panel to match up with an existing door.
Hello and thank you for your inquiry. As long as your walls are no more than 3/8" out of plumb, you should have no trouble installing this panel as instructed. If your walls are 1/2" or more out of plumb, you will need to reach out to GW directly at inquiries@glasswarehouse.us to order a channel. If your walls are any more than 3/4" out of plumb, we do not advise the use of our product and instead suggest seeking a custom panel that is cut out of square to suit the out of plumb wall. How big does your shower need to be if you use just this one panel not to have water all over the floor
Hello and thank you for your inquiry. The amount of water leakage that one may or may not experience varies from shower to shower as this is dependent on water pressure, placement of the shower head, etc. Because of this, there is no way for GW to confirm if someone will or will not have an issue with overspray. The minimum recommended walkthrough is 24", so for an 18" panel we would advise a minimum opening of 42".
