Is the 55” wide panel safe to only be supported by the curb and wall? A glass company told me the furthest they could span without a header is 42”.

I'm using Schluter glass support channels for both vertical and horizontal support. What are the number of RUBBER SPACERS referenced for use w the Schluter channel, and HOW MANY are needed for horizontal and vertical dimensions, respectfully?
