Hello, there is no issue with installing the HomeFlex Underground product that way. However, please check your local plumbing codes to ensure that it is allowed. Moreover, the product has to be buried at the depth stipulated in the local code.
Hello, it is always better to use the appropriate fittings (90deg elbows) to make the 90deg turns. In section 2.1 (page 7/29) of the installation manual minimum bend radius of the various HomeFlex Underground pipes are given https://ipexna.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/install-guide-manual-usen-ipex-homeflex-underground.pdf Horizontal bend can be made within this bend radius limit. However, doing vertical bends with the PE pipe will most likely bring it above the code mandated depth. So, this is to be avoided.
Thank you for the inquiry. This product is suitable for LP or Natural Gas. Please feel free to reference our webpage for further details. www.homeflexunderground.com
Thank you for your inquiry. Home Flex Underground is distinctly designed for Underground applications. If you are looking for above ground applications please consider the CSST product.
Thank you for the inquiry. You can certainly join two pieces of pipe. You should use a HomeFlex Underground 3/4" Coupling to make this connection. https://www.homedepot.com/p/HOME-FLEX-3-4-in-IPS-DR-11-Underground-Yellow-Poly-Gas-Pipe-Coupler-18-429-007/300867544
Hello and thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, there is not enough information to give you an answer. Attached is a PDF of the Home Flex Underground Installation Manual. To determine the size of pipe required, you will need to: -using the table on page 20 determine how many additional feet of pipe in your calculations based on the number of fittings to be used -on pages 21 to 26 there are tables you must use to determine the size of pipe needed based on: -LPG or Natural gas -high or low pressure -maximum BTU requirements -total length of installed pipe (plus allowance for number of fittings) https://ipexna.com/en-us/resources/document-repository/home-flex-underground-system-design-installation-manual/
Gophers can chew poly gas pipe but most often will burrow around it, similar to buried water pipe, electrical wires etc. If this is a concern, you can sleeve the gas pipe with PVC conduit of a larger size or take alternate measures such as trapping them etc.
Local guidelines vary tremendously between states and cities. Please check guidelines for your particular area before installing.
