What is this channel at the bottom of the inside of the window? And is the bottom frame supposed to be twice as thick as the other three sides? They all look the same size on the picture posted for this item on your site, unlike what I received.

Can this window be installed from the inside or is it strictly outside install only? I’m kinda scared of heights and ladders and the window that I’m replacing would be on the second story of my house.

Why would a fixed window have a drain so as to not allow for vertical or horizontal installation? Couldn’t drain holes be added on the bottom edge if actually needed?
