Compact but strong
This tie down strap is compact but strong. This will satisfy many of your household needs for an easy-to-use tie down. It's rated for 500 pounds- we did not come close to testing that capacity, but given the solid construction of the nylon strap and ratchet component it will provide a secure connection. Simply thread the strap through the ratchet spindle and ratchet the handle to tighten the strap. Release the strap with the spring-loaded release and it opens.

Poor Build Quality
I can't say that I'm impressed. Overall the strap works okay day one, but just some of the build quality seems to be very poor and causes me some mistrust in the strength. The metalic coating on the steel is bubbling everywhere and most likely won't last long in the elements. The plastic components aren't cleaned up well and still have pieces of squeeze out from the mold on them making them uncomfortable. The whole ratchet is sort of off kilter or crooked a bit, still seemed to work, but probably wouldn't take continued use without bending more. Came to my house intact, so this seems to be a manufacturing issue.

Heavy Duty
I really like this KEEPER 1 Inch by 12 Foot Camouflaged Ratchet Strap. First off it has a 500 Pound working strength which is strong enough to handle almost any load, the snapping strength is 5000 Pounds Which would pull a vehicle out of a ditch but I probably wouldn’t try it. The Hooks on this strap are Rubber padded to help reduce abrasions, and scuffing when securing items and this will also prevent corrosion. The Ratchet assembly is heavy duty as well and it also has Rubber on The handle to help pad it and help protect your bass during use. The design on the strap is Camouflaged and can. Match your 4X4, side by side or just to look a Little cooler while securing your stuff. This is a heavy duty strap and you will be pleased with this purchase.

Hi ho! PSUPUNGUY here. The Winter Polar Bomb Cyclone would have been a great time to have at least 1 of these in your vehicle. We got stuck in our driveway. Yep, the snowplows buried us in a foot of white stuff. Thank fully a kind SUV driver used this strap to pull us to the road. Keeper's 1 in. x 12 ft. x 500 lbs. Polar Camo Ratchet is perfect for winter activities. The 500 lbs working load limit nylon webbing is 12 ft. in length, abrasion resistant, and will not rot or mildew. Nice straps for suv or light truck loads..
The old style straps I had for years became useless since they jammed constantly and didn't have a freewheel latch. These do..in fact they have a few things I like much better. Pros: tagged load on the strap, I know its redundant but if its got to hold or else , its nice to know how much. Free spooling while unlatching. I can ratchet tight or loose, and freewheel for quick load untying. The camp color will blend well.with hunting gear for those on 4 wheelers or strapped to a back of a gator. Zinc played for corrosion protection and also had plastic coated handle, so no shape edges. Cons: no carrying case, or winding holder. Supply your own bag, I wound over a empty tape spool and rubber banded. Compact to fit even in the glove box.

Good quality ratchet straps
About a month ago, my son was looking for a new refrigerator. We found one on sale, but it had no box. It was a floor model. We had to take it as is. We couldn't pass the deal up, so we loaded it in my truck. The only straps I had were more like light duty and could not be ratcheted down. All I could do was pull them as tight as I could. Needless to say I was very nervous about hauling it home upright in the bed of my truck. I wished I had some ratchet straps that could really cinch it down tightly. I got this strap, which is 12 feet long as an answer to that problem. It's made of a strong webbing to hold 500 lbs. and vinyl coated S hooks to prevent rust. The ratchet has a plastic-coated handle, which is a little nicer on your hands. To be honest, I'd never used a ratchet strap like this before, so i found a helpful video that Keeper put out online that showed me how to do it easily. I tested it by hooking each end onto the hooks in the bed of my truck and I was able to tighten it enough that I could see the bed panels move inward, so it has a lot of strength. The hooks themselves have more of an open S where the tip doesn't curve back inwards. I suppose this might be better for hooking under a fender or something. I'm glad at least I have some piece of mind knowing I can secure any load I carry in the future.

Great Strap to Keep Handy by Hampton Products
The camo design is nice and I can easily identify it when I have in my storage case of other straps. But I think I’m going to leave this strap in my truck in case I make a quick stop to the hardware store and need it. Storage is easy because rolled up will take less space. This is a light to medium grade tie down strap. It’s 12 feet long and that’s a nice size for use in my truck. My truck bed is 5’ so I have to feed it for a sorter length. It takes two hands to release the ratchet when loosening the strap. The S hook has a vinyl coating to prevent scratching and is UV protected and weather resistant. It comes with a generous limited lifetime warranty. Made in China

Good Light Duty Tie Down
The main thing that I like about this tie down is that the ratchet handle and the release lever have a plastic / rubber coating which makes it much easier on my hands when using it. The hooks have a plastic coating to minimize scraping and banging noises against metal. The quality seems to be good. I use it for securing small loads and bulky items. The polar camo color is a lighter color. I have not tested it to its limit, but I recommend a beefier (2” strap?) for heavy loads or where there can be jarring force put on the strap with a lot of weight behind it. Made in China.

Smooth operator
This ratchet strap is a great length (12 feet) and has a weight capacity that can handle most everyday tasks. The ratcheting function operates very smoothly, both when cinching the strap tight, and when releasing it. It is a nice compact size, too, so you can easily put it in a glove box or under a seat in your vehicle in case a need for it arises. The polar camo is a cool pattern, too, which adds to the aesthetic appeal.

Good quality tie-downs for general use
These tie downs are perfect for general use in strapping down loads in your pick up or on a trailer. The camo design is fine, more blue/green than a true camo, but camo affect is not really needed in this application. The release mechanism is easy to use on the Keeper (I find the release the most challenging element on any tie-down). This is a light duty strap (500 lbs) but at twelve feet a good length for crossing a 6.5 or even an 8 ft pick up bed. My only small complaint - if the strap on the buckle was 2-3mm longer the attached hook would clip over the buckle for storage. Tie-downs are essential for any pick-up owner and useful for securing any load - coolers, tool boxes, kayaks, whatever. I recommend the Keeper Polar Camo strap.
