The hardwired, ionization Kidde Firex Smoke Detector, Hardwired with Battery Backup, Smoke Alarm operates on a 120-Volt power source with a 9-volt alkaline battery backup. Using ionization sensor technology, the Kidde Firex Smoke Detector alerts to invisible fire particles, even during power outages. The Kidde Firex Smoke Detector, Hardwired with Battery Backup has green, constant LED light that indicates AC power is connected. Red LED blinking lights flash for standby, if the alarm senses combustion, fire, or smoke, alarm memory if the alarm is activated, and hush mode. UL Certified with a 10-year limited warranty. Meets requirements of UL217, NFPA72, The State of California Fire Marshall, NFPA 101, FHA, & HUD.

The Kidde i4618 is an AC/DC powered, ionization smoke alarm that operates on a 120V power source with 9V battery backup. Contractor box contains 4 alarms, mounting brackets, batteries and wire harness all included. This alarm uses ionization sensing technology. Ionization sensing alarms may detect invisible fire particles (associated with flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms. Photoelectric sensing alarms may detect visible particles (associated with smoldering fires) sooner than ionization alarms.The front-loading battery door allows user to change the battery without removing the alarm from the mounting bracket making battery replacement easy and convenient. This smoke alarm is available in a 6-piece cut case with tray for easy display as well as a 6-piece bulk pack for contractors and property owners. This unit is a UL Listed product with a 5-year limited warranty. Kidde strongly recommends that both ionization and photoelectric smoke alarms be installed to help insure maximum detection of the various types of fire that can occur within the home.

This alarm offers a modern 5-inch design ideal for all living spaces such as living rooms, hallways, kitchens, & bedrooms. Comprehensively tested and designed to the latest UL standard for safety and reliability, the 5-inch smoke alarm is powered by 120V AC wiring with 2 AA alkaline replaceable backup batteries (included) for continual detection even during outages. Batteries should be replaced every 6 months. When smoke is detected, the red LED light will flash in time with the loud 85-decibel alarm to help you seek safety. A test-hush button allows you to test the battery operations as well as silence nuisance alarms, should they occur.
